Plastic Surgeon Career Research Paper
Research Essay Throughout my research I’ve learned about multiple careers that caught my attention, most of them being in the medical field. The medical field caught my attention because the careers that are considered to be in it mainly focus on helping people. That’s one thing that I would love to do in the near future. However one of the careers that I’m also interested in deals with car. Every career that I’ve chosen has both pros and cons, and I am aware about the obstacles I have to go through in order to achieve my goals in those different fields.
To start off my first career is maternity nurse. One of the best colleges to go to for this career is University of Pennsylvania, with 91% of students graduating in the spring of 2015. In

To become one, it will take many years and practice to meet the skills this career offers. The University of Miami is great college to go to for this career because it offers the handset skills I need to become a surgeon. To be accepted to the school, I’ll need to have a 3.5 or higher GPA and a 21 or higher ACT score. For me to become a plastic surgeon I’ll need to get an associate’s, bachelor’s, and then make way up to get a doctorate’s degree. Approximately, it will end up taking 13-15 years. Plastic surgeons start off with $273,000 and make 317,000 on their yearly salary. What their benefit package includes is health insurance, sick days, and paid vacation.
My final career is mechanic engineering. As you can tell, it’s not in the medical field. In order to become one you only need 2 years which is just your associate degree. A college that I would suggest going to become a mechanic engineer is Massachusetts Institute of Technology. This college would benefit me a lot. The school’s academic requirement is a 2.95 GPA and 21 on the ACT. As a mechanic engineer, the starting salary is $37,120 and yearly is $62,280. The benefit package is pretty nice for this career, what it includes medical and dental care, retirement plan, and paid

Does anyone have a hard time choosing what career or job which they really want to do in the future? I personally have two jobs that I am considering right now: actuary and physical therapist. Actuaries basically manage risk. They help organizations plan for the future and protect themselves from loss. Physical therapists use a variety of techniques to improve mobility, relieve pain and prevent permanent physical disabilities in their patients. The reason why I am choosing between these two jobs is very much related to my past experience. Since my youth, I was influenced by my elder sister who is very good in mathematics. Due to her influence, I have a big interest in mathematics. I wish my future job will be related to mathematics, which is why I considered becoming an actuary. In addition, I love to watch dramas that are related to medical education. In fact, I just finished watching a Hong Kong drama named ‘On Call 36 Hours’. It is a medical drama. After watching that drama, I have the desire to help those injured patients to recover from pains and injuries. Although many might think these two jobs are very different, they have very much in common.…

    Neonatal Nursing Career

    • 786 Words
    • 4 Pages

After I graduate, it is required of me to become a registered nurse by going to nursing school for a number of years. As a neonatal nurse, I must become certified in Neonatal Resuscitation and Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing due to the fact that I will be handling ill infants. Many hospitals in different locations require nurses to complete a small number of years of clinical experience in a hospital setting before practicing as a neonatal nurse. There are 3 different levels of neonatal nursing. Level 1 neonatal nurses take care of healthy infants after they are born. However, there isn't a major demand for these types of nurses because many infants are more likely to stay in the same room with their mother. A level 2 neonatal nurse, which is what I plan on becoming, takes care of premature infants or infants born with illnesses. Level 2 nurses are much more of a necessity than any of the other levels because sick infants need constant attention. A level 2 neonatal nurse may seem as though they have a lot of responsibility on their hands being that they're working with ill infants, but they don't compare to Level 3 neonatal nurse practitioners. Level 3 neonatal nurses work in the NICU with extremely ill infants. They work countless hours checking in on the ill infants and making sure they are responding well to treatments. Level 3 neonatal…

The earliest known reports of plastic surgery date back to 600 BC when a Hindu surgeon reassembled a nose using materials from a cheek. Soon after, plastic surgery became common through ritual practices of cutting off enemies’ noses and lips. According to The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Americans spent more than twelve billion dollars on surgical and nonsurgical procedures in 2014. With plastic surgery trending, society debates whether it is a victory for the science community or morally wrong to alter humans.…
