Planning a Party
Food, fun, friends, dancing, and a memorable night are all parts of an awesome party. Summer is coming up and I want to host the best summer party of them all. Essential needs of a good party are food, entertainment, comfort, and style. People must enjoy and remember this party for the rest of their lives. In order to prepare for this party, good planning and money are needed. I am a billionaire and money is not so much of my concern but planning all that is needed to make this party a success is the hard part of it all.
First of all a location must be found. I must find a spacious site or club where I could fit about 400 people. With good space, people are able to move around better and have a more comfortable time for dining and dancing. A dance floor and a DJ platform is certainly needed and an important aspect of a good location is cleanness and parking. Cleanness in the bathrooms and in the environment adds to the comfort of the party and relaxation. Plus, Valet parking should be available for receiving the party guests who will not have to worry about parking.
Second I must find a good catering service and send invitations to about 300people that I will invite. The caterer must be able to make good appetizers and about a choice of two main dishes. A sushi bar will be available for those who love the Japanese food, and steak will be one of the main dishes for those who like a good chunk of meat on their plate. The other choice of a main dish could be pasta or some type of cooked chicken dish. The hired waiters must work efficiently and give good service. A separate section in the party will be made for those who desire to dine. Therefore, despite being in the same space, the dance floor and dining section will be a bit separated.
Entertainment has a huge role in a party. A good DJ must be hired who does not play songs repeatedly but has a mix of genres in his play list. Thus, guests

I was very interesting doing this assignment. I learned a lot watching people on how they dress, act or interact with others. In this assignment I watched people at my work which is a restaurant on the nonverbal codes and messages. In this area workers are supposed to give a certain standard on which people are pleased with in the end. In their own area they are supposed to keep up with their own work load. Which is taking care of the guests in their area, taking care of their work area, keeping stock up, etc. This observation was taking during their busier hours with are the weekends during 7pm-9-pm. The tables were well lit with candles and had the proper condiments needed. The tables were set close together so people had to sit in a close area. The décor was nice and accommodating. Overall the setting was nice and professional. I would imagine a lot of people would enjoy this scenery because of how hip but cool it is and still be professional.…

A baby shower is a conventional celebration that emerged in the United States. The practice has now been adopted across the globe, from Europe to Asia. However in the latter, it is mostly attended by women only, whereas in the West men also take part in the festivities. There are various beliefs concerning baby showers; some choose to consider it for just the firstborn, others prefer to conduct the affair after the birth of the baby, and yet others believe that a birth in the family does not require a baby shower to commemorate the occasion. The shower is generally hosted by a close friend of the expectant mother, who distributes party invitations, plans mementos, and organizes prizes for various games. Commonly received mementos include picture frames and assorted candy, while bath beads and candles are often distributed as prizes. Location and decorations are also important factors that must be taken into account. The baby shower involves bestowing gifts upon the unborn child, baby-themed activities, along with snacks and drinks. Cake is usually a staple in the menu; otherwise, there aren’t any restrictions on what should be served. Popular games include Baby Shower Bingo and Baby Trivia – these provide entertainment while keeping the focus on both the parent(s) and their baby. The gifts are intended to be helpful for the new parent(s), as it saves them the expense of having to buy each individual item for their newborn. Specific items are requested through the baby shower registry, and this lessens the chances a parent receiving useless or multiple copies of one item. Additionally, it relieves the guest of the hassle involved in of thinking up a suitable present. Therefore, the combination of ease and convenience for both the guests and new parents has made baby shower registry a huge success.…

PARTIES THAT COOK is a 14-year-old event business founded in San Francisco by Bibby Gignilliat, a former marketing manager at Williams-Sonoma who followed her muse — first by going to cooking school and then by starting a business that offers cooking classes as employee-appreciation and corporate team-building events. It now handles events for as many as 300 in San Francisco as well as in Chicago, Seattle and Portland, Ore., where it maintains satellite offices. The company employs 11 full-time workers at its headquarters, and about 65 chefs, servers and dishwashers on a contract basis. Last year, revenue reached $2.2 million.…
