Pink Eye
It is common knowledge that conjunctivitis, or more commonly known as pink eye is an infection or inflammation of the conjunctiva of a person’s eye. The inflammation in the conjunctiva makes the blood vessels appear more visible and gives the sclera a pinkish appearance. According to The Mayo Clinic “Pink eye can be caused bacteria, viruses, allergies, and in infants it can be caused by a blocked tear duct” (The Mayo Clinic 2017). Viral and bacterial pink eye is very contagious and can spread through contact with the infected person or contaminated objects. Pink eye can also be caused by exposure to allergens such as pollen, smoke and dust, but it is not contagious. According to the Mayo clinic some common symptoms included redness, itchiness,
