Pima And Maricopa Similarities
The two tribes, the Pima and Maricopa are united as one people on the Salt River Reservation (SRPMIC). The SRPMIC community was established in 1879 by President Rutherford B. Hayes. Both tribes have been dwelling on the desert for thousands of years. Their location, crops, and language share some similarities and differences. They’ve been living as one for over 130 years. In this time, the people have managed to build a great community. They are both similar in many ways. Both tribes live in Arizona. They both grew beans and corn. The community’s languages are both hard to understand. In addition, both tribes have some people that speak English. But the Pima are different as well as similar to the Maricopa. The Pima lived in Southern Arizona
