Physical Beauty vs. Inner Beauty
PHYSICAL BEAUTY VS. INNER BEAUTY A. Comparison and Contrast

Beauty is a characteristic of a person, place, object or idea that provides a perceptual experience of pleasure, meaning or satisfaction. It can be your personality, your looks or even your habits. Beauty can have various forms. Similarly, we have physical beauty, which can be one’s appearance, or personal hygiene, and inner beauty can be one’s personality, or actions. The meaning of beauty keeps on changing based on every person’s standard of beauty.

1
Physical beauty is a person’s appearance, elegance, features, figure, or complexion. According to Pythagoras, physical beauty was defined when a person had the face structure that was close to being symmetrical. Nowadays, many people were attracted to a person who had a beautiful face, features and a good complexion. To be honest, physical beauty plays a very important role in the present society. Nobody will refuse to be beautiful in order to give a good impression to people around.
On the other hand, inner beauty is a person’s traits, habits, or even your sense of humor. It is a concept that is related to the intellect or other factors that please other people. People who have pure intentions towards others and can serve to be role models are usually said to have inner beauty.
Inner beauty is more important than physical beauty. We all know that there is no everlasting beautiful appearance. Even though, make-ups do contribute to make you look young and beautiful, it will disappear. Physical beauty is not forever, but inner beauty will not fade away. According to an article, a beautiful woman is a diamond but a truthful, honest, trustworthy woman is a treasure.
2
God is fair because he gives everyone their own unique beauty. So do not think of yourself poorly or wish to be someone else, instead embrace your personal beauty, be happy, proud and thankful. Beauty may occur in different form and it lies in

When you look in the mirror, do you see “beautiful”? Did you know that there’s a kind of beauty that isn’t tangible? Beauty is more than one might think; it is more rare. Those who have seen it know it to be something that cannot be captured by a photograph, it must be told by a story. If it has not been clear yet, beauty is not by any means physical aesthetics, but rather it is the actions that make-up an appealing disposition. Through the centuries, so many have wrongly credited beauty to be a person’s looks. The inevitable problem with that kind of beauty is the ever changing idea of what it is, and how it fails to express true beauty.…

Beauty, by definition, is, “the quality or aggregate of qualities in a person or thing that gives pleasure to the senses or pleasurably exalts the mind or spirit” (Merriam-Webster). Throughout her life, Lucy Grealy struggles with her own definition of beauty. To her, beauty equals happiness. As a cancer patient, she underwent many surgeries which left her with a disfigured face. Since she did not think she was beautiful, she was not happy, or rather, she would not allow herself to be happy. “I didn’t deserve it, and thus I shouldn’t want it. She blames all of her unhappiness and misfortune on the way her face looks, when in reality, she is causing herself to be unhappy by dwelling on the negative aspects of her life. She says,…
