Phuu Quoc Island Case Study
The name “Phu Quoc “established by the Chinese people which meaning "rich land". Phu Quoc Island is also known as “Pearl Island”. Phu Quoc is a largest island of Kien Giang province in Vietnam, located in the Gulf of Thailand. Phu Quoc has 22 large and small islands, of which Phu Quoc is the largest with an area of 574 km². The entire island district has a total area of 593.05 km², approximately the size of Singapore Island. It is only 45 minutes from Ho Chi Minh City to reach the island by plane.

Vietnam is always known as a country with many natural wonders, so the tourism industry is always main attention and focus on investment and development. Vietnam has a 3260 km coastline running from north to south, ranked 27th on the world. Therefore, sea tourism in Vietnam developed stronger than other types of tourism.
But in recent years, tourism management has found another interesting tourist destination that is island tourism. In July 2011, a total of 74 projects were granted investment certificates in Phu Quoc, with a total investment of VND48, 087 billion. Due to its recent development in recent years, Phu Quoc has gained more experience in the field of services, language acquisition and tourist satisfaction. All have brought to visitors the best experience.
Phu Quoc has gradually turned itself on and demonstrates the potential for growth in tourism at home and abroad.
At present, Phu Quoc is equipped by a lot of high-class resorts, high-end amusement parks, luxury hotels and restaurants, spas and, of course, natural beaches. Phu Quoc is an excellent tourist destination when traveling from island to island. Covered by 22 big and small islands. So Phu Quoc island always known as a small Maldives in Vietnam.
