In agriculture, it is believe that the Banaue Rice Terraces may have been built which proves the early Filipinos’ skills in agriculture. Agriculture was the main source of livelihood in the pre-colonial Philippines there was an abundance of sugar cane, coconut, rice, cotton, hemp, and many species of fruits and vegetables. Its seven ethnic groups ( more depending on the method one uses to differentiate the population) are scattered over 7,000 islands (Banlaoi 2005). The Philippines pre-1995 was a country whose economy was largely based on agricultural production and on a small part on mineral resources such as copper, gold, chromium, and iron. Only three buildings were however constructed: the Executive House occupied by the National Museum, the Department of Finance Building which now houses the Museum of the Filipino People, and the Department of Tourism Building envisioned to become the future Museum for Natural Sciences. When we visited the National Museum we saw beautiful paintings and sculptures made by our great artists. We will never forget the huge great work of art of Juan Luna's Spolarium the very famous one. However, how could we relate this quote to the history of our country?…
