Pharmacist Beliefs
Pharmacists’ beliefs and attitudes toward herbal products were assessed. Almost 60.9% of the respondents agreed on that herbal medications are efficacious. While the majority 45.1% Strongly agree of the community pharmacists that herbal medicines should be sold only in a pharmacy. About 44.2% disagree about the use of herbal medicine should be limited only to patients who have failed traditional prescription therapy. however, only 3.4% of the respondents strongly agree. The majority 79.4% strongly agreed or agreed on providing information about herbal medication is a pharmacist’s professional responsibility. While 47.2% agree continuing education on herbal medications should be mandatory.
