1.- Metodología

Para este estudio se realizó un viaje a Manta, donde se visitó Asociación de Exportadores de Pesca Blanca del Ecuador (Asoexpebla).

Fuimos atendidos por el Ing. Edgar Ríos, el cual nos dio información necesaria respecto a estadísticas de exportaciones, clasificación de peces y pautas para el desarrollo del caso.

Allá también se visitó la empresa Ocean Fish, donde fuimos atendidos por Sr. William Wood, Presidente de la empresa, el cual nos hizo una visita por toda la planta explicándonos el proceso de la pesca, su comercialización, destinos a donde se exporta y de qué manera lo hacen.

En la ciudad de Guayaquil, visitamos la Corporación de Promoción de Exportaciones e Inversiones del Ecuador (CORPEI), donde fuimos atendidos por el Sr. Vicente Hernández, Asistente del Centro de Información e Inteligencia Comercial.

Tuvimos una entrevista con la Sra. Mónica Castelo del Instituto Nacional de Pesca, quien nos oriento en como es el mercado de la pesca.

Para conocer el comportamiento que tiene el mercado de pescado, realizamos encuestas a consumidores, y a las personas que se encargan de comercializar este producto dentro de Guayaquil.
