Persuasive Speech On Oral Cancer
If you are worried that oral cancer will one day strike you, then first, make sure you are not engaging in habits that make you more prone to developing it, like using tobacco in any form or drinking alcohol. Once you are living a lifestyle that promotes good health, there are other ways to ward off oral cancer even further. There are two beverages that help protect you against oral cancer, and adding them to your daily diet can help you enjoy life more and worry less. There is also one beverage that has been falsely believed to prevent it but you should skip due to multiple concerns.

Drink Coffee

While coffee may have a bad reputation for staining teeth, it is actually good for your oral health. Past studies have found it to be a great liver-cancer preventative beverage, and now studies have shown that drinking four cups of it a day can cut your risk of oral cancer in half. You can reduce the acidity of it to make it more tooth-friendly by adding a splash of milk or cream without negating the benefits.

Drink Green Tea

If you don't like coffee or just prefer tea, then you can still ward off oral cancer by drinking green tea. In fact, a component of green tea called epigallocatechin-3-gallate has actually been shown to kill oral cancer cells when injected into them. Researchers think that there is even promise of this natural antioxidant in green tea being used to battle cancer instead of chemotherapy one day.

While no one who has oral cancer right now should stop taking their prescribed medications in favor of green tea, if you are looking to ward the cancer off before it begins, then drinking it often is a great idea. It is also available in caffeine free versions, although green tea itself is much lower in caffeine than most caffeinated coffees.
