Persuasive Essay: Why Football Is Too Dangerous For High School
Football is a very entertaining blood rushing sport and in some cases all a student feels they have to live for. Most Americans mistakenly believe that all injuries in football are easily taken care of or petty which is not true. In Fact plenty of injuries are concussions and brain damage is much harder to recover from when your kid vs an adult. Football is too dangerous for high school due to the fact of the kids are not fully developed, the equipment is not protective enough, and there have been plenty injuries in the past. Nowadays football is very entertaining and very fun sport. The only problem is are our kids actuallly safe playing it? For some kids football is all they feel they have to live for, so if you take it away from them they feel as if you took the world away from them. Truth be told our kids are not fully developed enough to be playing. Studies show that an adult can withstand much more brutal hitson the other hand kids can easily get injured,and that we don't want. High school football is between the ages of 14-18 which relatively young considering the word "teen" being tacked on to the age. When we think of teen we think young right? During the 2005-2006 season, high school football players sustained more than half a million injuries nationally is that safe? Moreover the equipment in high …show more content…
That does not reach our common goal of safety. Medical experts say the most important change is to reduce hits to the head because that where we get concussions and other trauma to the head which leads to plenty other detramental diseases. There have been over 10,000 injuries in hig school football this year. They ha ve also thought about reducing the playing time of some players to lower the injury rate. The ultimate goal of playing high school football is to try to go pro for most and it is potent that you dont get injured and endanger your chance of going
