Persuasive Essay On Why Do Kids Get A Winner?
66 percent of children have a trophy for just showing up for something. Such as a fair or sporting event. However people have mixed feelings about this. So why do kids get a trophy for doing nothing, no one knows. Therefore trophies for just showing up or participating should not be awarded, this is because it is a loss of motivation and they are meaningless, but some believe they keep kids coming back but there are other options. Kids are not motivated if everyone gets a trophy. This is because they are still getting what the winner gets no matter what. So what is the point in trying, There's not. Trophies signify a winner, but is there really a winner? If everyone is getting the same piece of metal what is the point in trying? Most kids are all in it for the trophy in the end so what is making them come back if they already get it, nothing is. This is showing kids they do not have to work hard to get things they want. Which is not true. 100% of things you want you have to work for! …show more content…
There are other ways to go about this. Give the kids food. It is as little as food to keep a kid engaged in and keeps them wanting to come back. All kids want some kind of candy or sugar. If you give a kid a piece of candy they keep running back for more. Same goes for sports and other things candy is saying nice effort without saying you’re a winner. Also if you play fun games, it keeps kids entertained and engaged. Kids love to play games as a kid. Like if a kid plays football every day on the playground, they always come running back for more. Also a pat on the back by a coach really helps the kids. This is because the kid feels as if the coach wants him/her to be there on the team. All a kid needs is support to want to come back. Also the level of effort put in by the coach is what you will get out of the kids. Overall there are other options to get kids coming back to play
