Persuasive Essay On Nonprofit Communication
Popular columnist of Entrepreneur magazine, Erika Napoletano once said, “People don’t do business with logos, with colors, with Twitter or Facebook…they do business with PEOPLE.” Even though she was addressing business overall, non profits must always remember no matter what, their target and goal will always be the people. The people, who are behind their causes and the people, who give willingly to their cause. However, when dealing with nonprofit communication, some may say that it’s impossible to do that when you practically have no budget. How does one effectively present the identity of their organizations? We will look at some alternative ways of communicating with a limited budget as well as an understanding of what it takes. Our first effective communication would be social media. In the last few years, phones, tablets, and computers have become a central source of communication and have given way to the world of social sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Vine, Youtube and etc. So a great way and current way, a nonprofit can communicate to it’s potential donors or volunteers would be social media campaigns. These campaigns help to retain a following, in hopes of launching fully the cause or mission of one’s organization. Another cheap form of communication would be to come to places such as fairs, community gatherings, and malls to promote the brand. In particular, as an example, you can look at the girl scouts. A very known non profit organization whose mission is to “build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.” Through social gatherings, stem programs, and especially their delightful cookies. The same cookies that every year, they stand throughout the country at different places selling and ultimately helping to contribute to their fund raising

With this increase in nonprofit organizations, there is a more competitive market for the allotted monies from both public and private resources which cause straining in the market. Organizations must think outside the box to pursue fundraising and awareness to their cause and campaign to differentiate themselves from those with similar missions in such a competitive market. Streamlining data and administrative processes are underway with many nonprofits. Not possessing the funding to develop a digital presence can also cause funding to move slowly since online marketing is a way to raise awareness and attention to potential funding sources.…
