Persuasive Essay On Circus Animals
circuses have become increasingly popular over the last 50 years. Years and years of psychological and physical damage will lead any animal, even those that look harmless, to snap and go on a rampage. Circus animals going on a path of destruction isn’t the only thing circus cruelty causes, because of the atrocious living conditions many circus elephants have been known to carry many forms of tuberculosis (TB) and the common flu(Los Angeles 2013, October 23). This is a major problem considering that many children attend circuses and their immune systems haven’t completely developed. TB is a highly contagious and fatal disease that kills approximately 2 million people worldwide. Knowing that many circus elephants have this disease is a scary thought due to the large number of people that attend circuses.

They are often beaten and starved to perform unnatural feats. When animals are treated like this from the moment they are born to the moment they die in a cage or are gunned down on the streets they will eventually snap and become a threat to innocent bystanders. Animal circus acts aren’t just cruel they are a threat to anyone that visits the circus. These animals don’t only suffer because of routine beatings, starvation, dehydration, and extreme weather; they suffer severe depression and psychological damage because of isolation and confinement. This is why animal circus acts are cruel and should be illegal.
Today, places such as Sea World, and Aquariums attract many people with their showcase of dolphins and Orcas. In aquariums and Marine Parks, these aquatic mammals suffer greatly. First of all they are trapped in tanks that force them to swim in circles in order to stay active. This is very unusual
