However I found that the ocean interested me quite a bit. Not just the ocean but every it contains, such as the way the waves move, the animals that inhabit it or the plants, perhaps I was so fascinated by it because of its size. I’ve found that the beach is my happy place. No matter how bad things get, walking along the shore cause solve everything. The waves, the cool water touching my feet as the tide rolled in, the beautiful shells lying around and my favorite part, the sunsets. My mother and I used to live right on the shore in Malibu and I wish I could go back to those days all the time. There is only one thing more important to me than my family and that is my education. I feel as if education is a key element in everyone’s life whether they choose to go to college or the military after school and I believe that whatever they choose to do will benefit them in the long run. I both spend either time or money, so if I’m going to spend my time and money I might as well spend it wisely and live my life the way I want to and get the education I choose for …show more content…

Ever since I was capable of speaking full sentences, like many children, I was always asked what I wanted to be when I was older; a questions which I happened to favor. Without hesitation I would reply by proudly stating that I wanted to be a veteran, with the intentions of saying that I wanted to be a veterinarian. My main concern has always been helping others, people and animals alike. Of course, animals were always easier to “save” being 10 years old, so I attempted to save house pets, corner store cats, and pigeons through the course of my pre-teen years. As I grew older, my dreams aligned closer to helping people, specifically children and mothers, for various reasons.…

Excitement builds within me when I hear the soothing sound of waves crashing on a deserted beach and smell the saltiness hanging in the air. Waves crashing onto the fine sand beckon me to pick my boogie board up lodged in the fine sand next to me. The tide takes me out in waves of ups and downs until I am ready to ride the perfect wave back! The coolness of the water soothes my hot skin as it gently washes over me. I feel exhilarated when after what feels like hours my feet sink into the wet sand leaving foot prints behind me on my way back to my towel on the beach.…

Ever since I can remember, my one driving force has been for animals. I was the girl who was obsessed with helping a hurt or lost animal, and always curious about the creatures I found in my backyard. I have a devoted passion for animals of all shapes and sizes and plan to spend my future saving them and their habitats. I want to help the people of our world understand that animals are not ours to use and abuse for material use, food, and entertainment. First with saving animas comes saving their habitats. For the way we are advancing in the technological and industrial world is not sustainable; due to human activities, we face a world with no fisheries, coral reefs, or rainforests; declining oxygen concentrations, the loss of honey bees,…

First off my main goal is to go to a good college. I really want to come out of high school with a high grades. I know with high grades I’m going to have a lot of options for schools. I would try to go to a maritime school or university to get a bachelors degree in computers or an associates in art. I don’t know which I want to go for first, I’ll decide later. I’d choose those areas because art is something that I’ll always enjoy. It’s one of those things where it’s all about you and what you want done, its fun and you have something to show for after. It’s like writing in the ways of getting feelings down to remember but in a visual form. I choose computers because not only does math come easy but it’s also an important branch. Think about how often everybody uses computers and how fast technology improves. Then I choose to become a seaman , seafaring is for the intelligent, the resilient, the disciplined, and the brave because these are the type of young people who can better prepare themselves for the hard life of seafarers. All of these will leave a lot of options for jobs and all in categories I love, but I only have to choose one then finally I decided to choose to go to a maritime school, because I want to become an officer in the ship someday and to earn money and my dream is to travel around the world. I have always been curious about other cultures and the differences between people in other countries. It would be amazing to travel the whole world.…

Henry David Thoreau once said, “I believe that there is a subtle magnetism in Nature, which, if we unconsciously yield to it, will direct us aright.” Like all transcendentalists, Thoreau believed that all of life’s questions could be answered through nature. Nature consists of many beautiful things – trees, flowers, butterflies, animals, sunsets, etc. Personally, out of all these extraordinary natural elements of the world, the beach, especially during sunset, is my favorite place in nature. Giving me mixed feelings when there, the beach at sunset is my most favorite place in nature because of its beautiful colors, peaceful and relaxing mood, and as it reminds me of what I am thankful for in life.…
