Personal Review: 'Binge Of Berserk's Guts'
Berserk 2016
First let me say that I have been sick for a few weeks. So I did a binge of Berserk episodes 5 through 8. Perhaps because of my illness I saw Berserk in a different view. In the beginning I felt Guts was off to a really good start. But with episodes 5 through 8 I get the feeling of being bogged down. As fast as Guts runs he does not get very far (storywise).

    In “The Outsiders” by H. P. Lovecraft, the author more than hinted at what is a horrifically set story. One element of his well put together setting was when he introduced the castle on pg. 21 “ I know not where I was born, save that the castle was infinitely old and infinitely horrible; full of dark passages and having high ceilings where the eye could find only cobwebs and shadows.” This is a great example because it was also on the first page, which was a clever move from the author. So once you start this story your initial mood about the entire story is “infinitely” gruesome. Another element of the setting the author showed great extent in thought too is that he makes the main character completely isolated most of the story; pg. 22 “ I must have lived years in this place, but I cannot measure the time. Beings must have cared for my needs, yet I cannot recall any person except myself…” This shows the creepy aspect of being completely alone in the woods or in a dark scary castle. Which is blatantly one of the basic scary dreams that most everyone can recall; so once this nightmare is brought back to all the readers a sense of fear of horror washes over all the readers.…

    In1982, Stephen King, a renowned horror author, published a very brief essay titled, “Why We Crave Horror Movies” and then submitted it to the Playboy Magazine. Around that time, a few year prior, a mass murder and serial killer named Ted Bundy, who was at his prime between 1784 and 1778, was found connected to at least 36 murders. Ted Bundy proclaimed that his reason behind his mass murders were due to pornography, which can be found in any Playboy magazine. Knowing this information, Stephen King could have published this essay in Playboy to address that horror movies could be used as a release to discard any insane emotions rather than eventually leading up to killing an innocent human being.     This video affects me more with emotional things than anything I think. As I started to watch the video I was trying to figure out what the parents were thinking by placing those children in those situations. This issue is a very important issue and I don’t think that it gets near the attention that it deserves. There is so much attention placed on so many things in this world but yet the situation of children and their parents who are living on the street get swept under the rug. The laws and legal systems don’t seem to do anything about but want to complain about the crimes and how wild these teenagers end up being. The legal systems don’t seem to realize how living homeless and moving place to place actually affects the parents and the children. It is a parents right to raise their children how they want but at the same time there should be limitations on these thing to ensure children basic needs are met to a certain extent. However the parents have a choice to live like that but the children they bring into this world don’t have a choice and they suffer the consequences of being homeless just because they were born and their parent made a choice to live like this because they don’t want to pay rent or taxes and this is totally unacceptable. In the minds of the parents of these children they are wanting to raise their children a certain way and that is understandable but at the same time the parents do not realize the psychological problems that it can have on the children. The parents of these children were being careless as early as when they got pregnant with the children. By living a life like this there is no prenatal care to make sure mom and baby are healthy. By living homeless the parents are exposing the unborn baby along with the children that have already been born to so many diseases among other things not to mention once a baby is born there are no doctor visits for vaccines or to check to see if the baby is on…
