Personal Philosophy Of Early Childhood Education
It is my personal belief that the purposes of education are to enable students as fully as possible to choose and eventually realize their individual path through life as adults. I also believe in whole child education which strives to teach heart, body, and mind connection. I believe that imaginative and practical, hands-on work is the best way to promote this type of holistic learning.

I view children as rapidly developing individuals who are full wonder and creativity. John Locked theorized that children were born as blank slates and as I have learned through child development and sociology I have come to agree, and view children in that same light. A child’s family, community, and school heavily impact their development and shape not only their personality but their morals, values, and beliefs. They should have a strong sense of child development and the knowledge on how to effectively observe children’s progress and be able to identify and modify curriculum if needed to better benefit each individual child. It is important to foster an attitude of trust, openness and gratitude towards the child and life. I think it is essential to understand the importance of meaningful activities and how they enrich the children. My personal beliefs on what a teacher or in my case Kindergarten teacher should be is a constant for the children. I plan on being a constant in their lives by how I run the classroom to how I present myself and interact with them. I truly believe in creating a safe and stable environment for my students where they can feel loved, safe to take risks, play, ask questions, discover, tell stories, make art, and truly be a kid. I don’t believe in rushing children into adulthood and I want to inspire my students to believe in magic and wonder so they will move forward with a passion for life and
