Personal Narrative: Worn Ridell Skate
I’ve always have worn Ridell brand skates when on the rink. They are the best out of vanillas, hard-candy, and sure-grip skates. The all don’t hold up quite as well as ridell. While everyone is on the sidelines trying to fix my skates, I’m out there speed skating to my music enjoying life. I was out on the rink speed skating in Arnold, Mo. That day had been perfect, I got a job, got an A+ on my final exam, and now I was skating. Everything at the rink was just fine till they closed the child rink and turned it into something that would make more money. I was speed skating when I came around the corner and instantly was greeted by a child falling in front of me. With no time to think I jumped, and when I landed, I landed hard on my skates stomping trying to regain my balance, bending my axle. Basically breaking my right skate, when I finally regained my balance I exited the floor mad and in a moment of rage. …show more content…
“Fix it.” I said really angrily he knew I was mad and told me there was no way to fix it the axle was bent and broken. At that point I was just in rage, I looked at him in the face and pointed at him saying “This is why you should have kept the kiddies rink so this wouldn’t happen, but now we are here because you wanted to make an extra buck. Don’t expect me to be coming back anytime soon.” And with that I left and went to bennies house. He was able to fix my skate temporarily till I could get some new ones ordered. I ended up buying a new pair of skates for $499 not including tax, and a sprained

There are some spots that are hard to skate and I couldn't really skate well and no matter how hard I try I can't land it. There's some stuff I can do and I practice all the time to make sure I can get better I may not be the best, but I try my hardest on skating.Occasionally it's difficult to ride or it's not working out on what you want, but friends help me to do new tricks and that's why on hard spots I try my hardest even if I get a scrape or even a bruise may even have a broken bone but there's always going to be something hard to do but doesn't mean it's impossible the day could be hot or cold making it difficult to skate in but there's always a different spot.…

I am walking around the garden observing the children whilst they are playing. Suddenly, child A falls off the activity centre and lands on her bottom. I walk over to her and ask her “are you ok?” She looks at me with tears in her eyes and nods. I bend down to her and ask her “are you sure?” She looks at me and shakes her head. I then take her hand, help her up, and lead her over to the teacher. I explain to the teacher “child A fell off the activity centre and landed on her bottom. I asked child A if she was ok and she shook her head.” The teacher then said to child A “are you hurt?” Child A looked at the teacher and nodded. The teacher then asked me “can you take her to the office please to see the first aider?” I answered “ok.” I looked at child A and said “come on, it’s ok.” I took child A to the office and the first aider, and told the first aider “child A fell off the activity centre and landed on her bottom.” The first aider handed me an accident form to fill out whilst she looked at child A.…

The story started when one night I snuck out of my house to go to a party, as a result, that night I slept over at a friend’s house and found a ride home the next morning. When the car pulled into the driveway the morning after, I thanked the driver and walked up to my front porch with a sly smile to greet my obviously frustrated parents. As my mom ushered me to sit down on one of the chairs on our front porch, I know that nothing good is going to…

The day I took off on my 4 wheeler, and left my Mom and Dad in the dust. It started out awesome and fun, then turned out to be very scary. It was July 4, 2013, my family and I loaded up our 4 wheelers for a fun day in the great outdoors. We all unloaded our 4 wheelers, then took off out into the desert. I wanted to see how fast I could go around the sharp corners on dirt roads. It was so much. I was having so much fun seeing how fast I could drive my 4 wheeler, around the sharp dirt road corners, I never looked back.…

It had been a few days since the occurrence of the incident on June 10th. In these few days after the event, I feel both physically tormented and emotionally distressed. It might have been the shock of the event that I unconsciously undermined the physical impact that the fall, tumble and rolling has on my body. The following morning after the incident, purple bruises surfaced in the left knee area, muscle pain and soreness on my left arm and both legs that weren't visible nor noticeable that night. In addition, I feel that I am emotionally traumatized by that night's incident. I can sense that I am on the brink of a mental breakdown. The things that I thought I could have neglect and the negative feelings that I…

Trepidation filled my head. Despite the negative 10 degree weather, sweat pooled in my gloves and rolled down my face. Thoughts raced through my mind; a wrong execution could mean death. 11 years of ski lessons had cultivated to this one moment. My life was on the line, yet a wave of excitement shook me. I took a look down at the jump that had come to dominate Joe’s backyard, replacing his childhood swing set. The jump was sizable, but not gargantuan. From previous hits I noticed its “poppy” lip - skier talk for a jump that sends you up rather than out - which is ideal for the trick I was about to attempt: a backflip.…

For as long as can remember I have had problems with my knee. It all started back in middle school, when we were playing basketball in our math class. My teacher at the time, Mr. Siem, would play with us. On this particular day, we were on opposing teams and he was bringing down the ball. When I went to defend him, he never stopped and he ran into me. His knee landed on mine with all of his weight. I knew right away that something was wrong.…

I felt a fire starting up inside of me. My mom thinks I am a baby and can't handle things on my own. I felt adrenaline hit me like a mad bull. " I am a big boy I can handle anything," I angrily shouted. I got my moms big mirror, and with all my strength I tried to carry it up to our apartment. One of my shoes were untied, and I was beginning to lose my balance, my mom's mirrored weight about 25 pounds and were about 4 feet wide and 4 feet long. For a small skinny guy like me, that was pretty big and heavy to carry all the way to the apartment. Eventually, I lost all my balance and fell the stairs. I was able to stop myself by holding on to the ramp, but as I held on to the ramp, I quickly noticed I had let go of my mom's mirror. That mirror flew down the stairs, and once it hit the ground, it immediately shattered like all how my behind was going be after she was done with giving me whoopings. My mother saw the whole event happen before her eyes. I didn't even want to look at her facial expression, I already knew what was coming for me, I held my butt tight and was praying that I would still have a tail left over when she was through with…

My mom never screamed at me before and when she screamed he blamed me for letting him go outside without his permission. One sunny day, we were remodeling the living room so it can be more babyproof now that my brother was taller and could walk and run perfectly. We left the door open because it was too cold in the living room. We were moving the couch as we told Andres to move over so we don’t locate the couch on his feet. We were so busy moving the furniture that we totally forgot the baby of the family was walking towards the door. When we put the couch in our desired spot, we noticed Andres walking toward the street. We ran after him as quickly as we could as we saw a car moving in Andres’s direction. My dad sprinted like a track and field athlete towards his baby and caught him right in time. All of a sudden, my mom turned to me and blamed me for this incident. I felt like my side of the story wasn’t considered when I explained she told me to help her with the couch and it was really Andres’s fault. She couldn’t believe I was blaming a baby so she sent me to my room. I ran to my room crying, feeling as if Andres was the favorite child and I wished that I never had a…

My friends and I were out riding around trying to decide if we wanted to go to Carowinds. I was driving too fast and jerking the wheel back and forth. I lost control of the car. The car ran off the edge of the road, and I hit a ditch damaging the left side of the car. The car then spun around and the right side of the car hit the ditch. The airbags popped out and hit me in the face. After we stopped spinning I asked my friends if they were ok. Fortunately, none of us got hurt. I had to call my parents and tell them that I wrecked the car. The police came and gave me a ticket and showed me at fault in the wreck. The wrecker picked up the car and took it to the body shop. The insurance adjuster looked at the car and said it was totaled. I had to wait a long time before my parents would even consider getting me another car. I had to go back to waiting for someone to pick me or asking somebody else for a ride. Although wrecking my car will always be an unpleasant memory of my first car, it taught me a valuable lesson about driving safely.…
