Personal Narrative: The Wave
I am standing on a ledge, nearly tripping off, surrounded by the depths of the ocean. According to me the world cannot end, but reality is never what you think. The entire world is currently under the grasp of Mistress Ice, inside her Nation or so-called kingdom. My job is simple, go kill her and save the Earth. Sounds pretty heroic right, yep, it’s easier said than done! I have been asking myself that ‘why me?’ I hate Ice! She has practically sunk the entire world, but she has left small ledge for me to give myself a pre-battle pep talk. First ice ledges surrounded by piranhas, serious loyal creatures you know. Then the mirror maze, worst of all comes last of all, the Wave. Okay after just three horrifying obstacles that can nearly kill you, …show more content…
I swallowed gulps of salty water and struggled my way up to the next obstacle. When I come to think of it, there seemed to be times when swimming was a famous sport done for fun and pleasure. I moved in to the mirror maze. I bumped my head so many times, I lost count. I noticed that the gate into the Wave was a still water shower. Unfortunately the water was so still it looked liked the other mirror. You have to use your touch and hearing senses since your eyes will only confuse you. I finally found my way out of the maze after some time, which seemed like hours. The Wave as I told before, was the worst of all obstacles. Mistress Ice’s favorite test .It tests your ability to control your mind including your emotions, actions and feelings .The Wave does not mean water, it gives you torture waves is sent to your subconscious state of mind that creates nightmares. To pass the test you have to control your mind and find your way out of the nightmares. I try my luck and after hours of torture the answer hit me; I just have to ignore the nightmares. I do exactly that and the find my way in. I am finally …show more content…
I see Ice standing in front of me with an evil grin spreading across her face .Her blonde hair falls straight down her back with her blue cape trailing her as she goes. She says ‘ So it’s a small twelve –year old who’s come to face me off, huh’. Either her line is very rude or I am just very angry with her and I replied, “ How does it matter to you whether you fall by a twelve year old or a twenty year old. That must have hit her hard as she whipped up her blades and started swing on me. I saw the chandelier suspension right above her and took out my catapult, she realized it a second later but a second was too late I let the stone fly and the chandelier fell right on her crushing her bones and heart to

The answer is that it does not matter what you think, the monster said, because your mind will contradict itself a hundred times each day. You wanted her to go at the same time you were desperate for me to save her. Your mind will believe comforting lies while also knowing the painful truths that make those lies necessary. And your mind will punish you for believing both.”…

Traveling into the Indian Territory, we were being angrily chased down by three Indians furiously shouting at us. Dashing through the thick forest, the savage Indians were throwing spears and shooting arrows that narrowly missed us. Although neither Gideon nor I was mortally injured, I did suffer from a nick from an arrow piercing near my ear. Thankfully, a group of burly fur traders approached from the side, which frightened the Indians to run away. Acknowledging that Gideon and I were inexperienced travelers in the west, they offered us protection in exchange for some valuable possessions. As a consequence, knowing that they were our best alternative for survival, we gave them our antique gold pocket watches and assumed the identities of novice fur traders. From that point on, we followed them through the west and adopted their skills for efficiently hunting animals and keeping warm in the harsh, cold weather. During one of our rest points, we approached a large Cherokee settlement located in Park Hill in which our group leader was friends with the Cherokee leader John Ross.…

Thousands of people crowded around the main attraction to watch the show. With the main attraction being Aquatyph with his powerful force of strength and agility ramming into his target or victim. In Aquatyph’s mind his target was found, he was aiming, and he was getting ready to explode. Aquatyph knew that he should have been the one standing in front of the citizens of Mt. Dicte conducting a speech about how great it feels to be in charge of the people. As Aquatyph realized what was happening and how badly his goal was slipping away from him he became even more furious. Quickly Aquatyph removed himself from the scene and stomped off into the ocean. He decided that he would take a swim to try to alleviate his temper. In the chilly, salt water Aquatyph began to swim laps, with Aquatyph increasing his speed with each new lap. Eventually, his laps turned into large circles of movement and he was moving so quickly that huge waves of water started to form. Since, Aquatyph had a temper and he was just so furious his body temperature was very high and the ocean was at its chilliest point of the year, the two temperatures collided together. Between the speed of Aquatyph’s circular laps and the two temperatures massive waves formed. Some of these waves were two hundred feet in height and crashed along the shores causing great…

The icy lands whipped him in the face. The cold heart of the land was beating like an ice wraiths heart. Cold and barren, He trudged along the frozen land. The heavy armor was wearing him down. The wind wasn’t helping much ether. The sound of his footsteps on the hard snow made crunching sounds each time his heavy plated foot hit the ground. He was covered from head to toe in an ebony encasement. Not a single piece of flesh exposed except an opening in the face. Two ice cold eyes stared out of it. There was a long trail of a sanguine liquid ran into the snow, hard as a rock before it touched the ground. He kept trudging along… the wind did not cease. It was about an hour until he found shelter. It was an Ancient Nord ruin. A long and forgotten door was only hanging by its rusted iron hinges. He pushed on it and it crumbled on his slightest touch. He gracefully rolled down the stairs and entered. He awoke a little later slightly groggy but ok. He was out of the wind. He was in a puddle of blood… it was pooling at his side. He needed to do something fast. He reached over to one of the ancient stone tables and searched. He found some old linen wraps and put them at his side. He unstrapped his ebony breast plate and took off his helmet. He then took off his breast plate. A red hot burst of pain erupted in his side, he screamed out in pain. That was a mistake, down the hall he heard the guardians awake. He was in no shape to fight and needed a plan. He looked around and saw a big urn. He went over to it and slid inside, not making a single noise. About halfway down the wall of the urn there was a little crack, not too big to see inside but just enough for him to see out of it. Footsteps filled the hall and a squad of dragers came rushing in to see what all the commotion was. They are Ancient Nords, before the 1sr era, about 2000-3000 years old there ancient bones make squeaking noses just to move. They guard all Ancient Nord ruins to the death. Well there…

My mother, “Regina Hopkins,” has been a positive influence in my life. She has raised 6 kids all by herself as well as earned a Bachelor’s degree in nursing from a City College in Gainesville, Florida. My mother has been through pretty much everything a person can go through outside of war and was still able to be there and provide for all 6 of her kids. In high school, my mother wanted to play football and couldn't because she was a girl and back-in-the-day women were not allowed to play football with the guys. However, she remained strong by raising 6 kids and independently took care of all of us on her own. My mother has several qualities that I would love to develop. The first quality she has is balance; she certainly knows how to make…

I am stolen from my reverie by crunches on crystallised slush, over yonder by the remaining entrance to the abbey's structure. Stepping forward, my dark-rimmed eyes seeking for any sign of animation, I stumble, my foot had caught on the mossy head of a ragged stone, casting me heavily upon the frosted ink of the ground. Groaning in a paroxysm of fury, I thrust by boot upon the stone, with such a passionate force, as to crack it in two. Cursing vehemently, and requesting my heart to recommence a steady beat, I hitched my breath and sat upright, my frost-bitten fingertips cast into the snow. My fingers found a second set, attached to a delicate hand as icy as the kiss of death! An acute convulsion of nightmarish terror tore through my chest, and I was petrified to my position. A most wistful voice cried, "You vowed you cared nothing of my miseries! A liar through and through! You bid me haunt you in a fervent rage, and yet you pray with a cursed tongue to be rid of me!" Forcefully, I snatched my hands from the creature's grasp and thrust them upon my ears, so as to banish such horror-inducing…
