The Journey of My Hockey Life Right now, in my life, I am on the bandwagon of a hockey players dream. I have been playing this godly sport for over 15 years, and at this moment, I am currently playing hockey for the Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks, who have encouraged me to attend Cuyahoga Community College better known as Tri-C, to take core classes. The Lumberjacks are part of the tier 3 American Hockey League that has guys from ages of 18 through 21, making it more precise and fast paced. Playing Jr. Hockey takes up more time than you can imagine, forcing me to take only two classes, Math and English. Both Math and English are on a Tuesday and Thursday for me, starting at 11 a.m. and ending at 2:15 p.m. After English class, the gym is the place to be and when I say “gym”, I mean the Strongsville Recreational Center. I feel like if I didn’t go to the gym on a daily basis I would be more aggravated and stressed out with …show more content…
With these challenges comes great grief, like getting good grades at Tri-C and transferring out to Niagara University. Niagara University has always been the college of my dreams and it, being such a hard goal to come about, is the goal that I must seek to achieve in my future. Attending Niagara next year would mean the world to me, not only to get an education in athletic training there but to also play Division 1 NCAA hockey for them. Playing hockey for Purple Eagles means I am one step closer to my future goal in life and that is to make it into the NHL. At Niagara I am going to take the same work ethic that I currently have now and that’s school work and the gym. I will only achieve my future if I keep working hard in life and that means staying in school to make myself a smarter student and going to the gym to stay away from the distractions that I don’t need to achieve my ultimate goal of the
