Personal Narrative-The Big Dog
This isn't really something that happened over a number of days but anyhow...

I'm not much of a dog-person. In fact, I'm pretty awkward around anyone, so creatures that crawl up and slurp all over my crotch are no exception.
So when lodging in a new house, my roommate's dog could sense my uneasiness and decided to bark and growl at me relentlessly, letting me know that he was 'The Big Dog' when in actual fact he was very small yet very loud i.e Snooki. It got to the stage where I couldn't make a cup of tea without this 4-legged Gordon Ramsey roaring at he me constantly.
My roommate soon got concerned about her beloved Chico and his contempt for yours truly. She said that he had gotten very territorial as of late and decided to go to the vet and have him neutered. Now, myself and Chico have had our differences but I told her that he would eventually get used to me and that robbing him of his manhood might be step too far. Nevertheless, she insisted and Chico's cajones were to be no more :-(
With Chico brought back and the nasty business

What was proposed on poor Chico this time was a shock collar, which gave him a slight zap whenever he made any loud noises. Again, I explained to her that this was a but drastic- this time referring to Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange- but she again went through with this in the hope this would eventually calm Chico down.
The next morning Chico was a sad sight to be seen. He tried to bark and me but eventually stopped. You would think I would enjoy the silence, but I didn't. Sure, he had been corrected: but at what price? Before I moved in, he was a happy, carefree dog and now becuase of my awkwardness has got his balls chopped off, which caused an unsufferable itch he wasn't able to scratch, and if he felt pissed off by any of this, he would get a mighty great shock off it too. With all our differneces aside, I felt pretty damn shitty to say the

In Grey’s Anatomy, Meredith, the protagonist, lives with her friends and fellow residents. One day she gets a dog, and all of her house mates dislike him because the dog chews up their clothes, pees on their beds, etc. Everyone was being respectful--giving rational reasons but with emotion to convey that the dog is problematic and one character mentioned being there for Meredith when she broke up with her significant other. The dog eventually started abusing Meredith’s property so they gave the dog to her significant other (they made up after the break up).…

When Tailgate was around four years of age, I had to present a speech about BSL. I took Tailgate to class with me in order to present a “pit bull” that was not a man eater. He was so good. He laid in the class until it was time to go. People was approaching him and petting him, and he laid in one spot. The second time that Tailgate went to a classroom event, my friend Courtney assisted me. There were people that were anxious when we entered the classroom. Tailgate paid no attention but sat next to Courtney. When I finished my presentation the class began to clap. Tailgate must have thought that the clapping was for him, so he raised up as tall as he could, and began to bark. Courtney began to smile, and introduced Tailgate to some of the…

As I began to observe my toy poodle Moca, whose name is owed the fact she’s silky and strangely the color of a Mocha Latte. At first glance I notice Moca like to watch me and if this was her paper as much as she observes me, she could write for days. Moca is very intelligent and very aware of her surroundings. She will inform you that there is no food or water in her bowls by scratching at the one that empty as if she saying I’m not going to stop until you get up and fill this bowl once you’ve picked up the bowl the fun begins. She starts whining and jumping up and down like she’s on a pogo stick trying to rush you. When it’s just me and Moca I tend to talk to her a lot and I’ve observed on a deeper level that she really is listening and a lot of things she really does understand. For instance, when I catch her doing wrong and I say “Get in your cage” she hangs her head in shame and proceeds to the cage.…

Think back to when you were little, or even now, and raise your hand if you have ever been chased by a dog? Bit by a dog? Attacked by a dog? Well, according to the Pawprints and Purrs website, there is still a large population of children and adults who have a fear or phobia of dogs, especially of commonly large dogs such as the German Shepherd. Well, I am here to talk about the German Shepherd because it is the one canine that is perceived and stereotyped as being an overly aggressive dog and a known attacker. And whether or not you have a fear of dogs or German shepherds, individuals need to be better informed about its characteristics and personality traits so that they won’t be perceived as a fearful dog and so that individuals who do fear them will come to fear them less. German Shepherds are often mistaken as one of the most aggressive canines in the world. While this is true, it is, however, a canine of noble birth that provides great love and the safest protection for its owners.…

It all started when I was taking Teddy on a walk to the trail. When we first entered the trail Teddy started acting weird. As I was walking him on the leash he sniffed more than usual. We got to the part of the trail where Teddy could do his business and a little further a head there was a pile of red berries sitting laying in a pile. Teddy bolted to the pile of berries and started to scarf them down. I was thinking to myself “he’s just going to get a stomachache and that’s all”. When Teddy pulled that crazy stunt we went straight home.…

Growing up, I always wanted a dog. I remember my mom telling me that they were too much trouble and I was too immature to actually take care of one. However, through the power of persuasion, I eventually talked her into getting me one. My first dog, was a rescue mutt, named Jethro that we brought home. He was a very sweet dog but he also had a lot of playfulness in him. He was a little too big for me and would jump on top of me and knock me over. My parents were worried that he would hurt me, so, unfortunately, we had to bring him back. My second dog, Lucky, was also a rescue but he was a border collie. I remember very vividly, the day we brought him home, it was raining and he was very nervous…

Angie is one year old. She was given to me on my tenth birthday. Angie likes to wander about our house. She also like to chase our neighbours' cats. She is docile in the presence of those she is familiar with, but strangers had better beware. As a matter of fact, nobody dares to enter our house without first having Angie tied up or put in her kennel. Even though she does not bite, she is very aggressive. Once, my friend, Joey, ignorantly entered my house, Angie pounced on him and he fell hitting his head, suffering a concussion. Every morning, when the newspaper man delivers the papers, Angie would bark at him non-stop. The postman too had several experiences. Now, however, Angie has come to recognise him as a friend and so, does not go after him.…
