Personal Narrative: Rebecca's Death

The topic really stumped me on what to write about and then when I heard other ideas about students who were talking about the most impacting thing in their lives, I knew what I needed to write about. This is the story of how half my family became dead to me. I’m not writing this looking for sympathy and I don’t really tell people about this because I feel like they look at me differently. In all honesty, I didn’t realize what was happening until I was in the 6th or 7th grade. My mom and my eldest sister Rebecca used to fight every day and they weren’t just arguments; they were extreme, like stuff being thrown around, hair pulling, and my mom pinning my sister down on the ground fights. I honestly remember this day like it was yesterday it is scorched into my head to where that it was just bad. We got out of my dad’s truck and I grab my football bag and Rebecca drop her Dr. Pepper and just yelled at Jessica to pick it up but her hands were already full of Becca’s makeup and schoolbag. So I go pick it and wave to my dad goodbye and he drove away. This is the worst day in my life even to this day and probably will be forever. As Rebecca’s unlocking the door she is already yelling at Jessie for something stupid and Jessie was just taking it cause it’s all we really could do we were both a lot smaller than her. We enter my mom’s house and I run to the fridge and grab an apple and then grab peanut butter off the counter and start watching power rangers. I don’t know exactly how long it was until I started hearing my sister screaming for her fucking life and I run down the hall and see my sister Rebecca on top of my sister Jessica just like my mom does to her. The cops have had a record of our house so they already knew what had happened. This time isn’t wasn’t such a big deal as it was the other times. The summer is when she moved to Montana so we had like a farewell party. I hadn’t talked to her since Christmas but I was like she’s leaving so I’m going to be nice and it was all going pretty good, till she saw that I invited some of my friends over. She started losing it when she saw them I told her it’s all good I would leave with them and she was like I had to make the day a lot about me and I was an asshole. I didn’t really care to know that this would be the last day that I talked to her, so while I was walking out she lost her freaking mind and like grabbed my shoulder and yanked me into a wall and I was pissed. I said if you touch me again it's going down and she had the nerve to spit on me again and I was already pissed but like she crossed the line. I like picked her up and slammed her and then I just walked out I was so sick and tired of her and all the shit so I just went for a walk and like talked to myself and just thought about life. After that, I didn't talk to her until this year in November and it was a very brief phone call. She said” hey, I got big news” and I said “I’m really busy” when I was just watching ‘’how I met your mother.’’ She said” I’m pregnant” and I said, “congrats I got to go.” In
