While interviewing her at the station, the detective was getting irritated, as he said, “Mrs. Barnes, I have asked three times already, and I am asking you once more. Did your mother confront you about your affair with a man named Frank? Now answer the question!” “Are you insinuating that I murdered my mother if so you are completely out of your ever loving gourd?” She yelled, stomping her feet and losing patience.
“We are going to take that answer to mean yes, you had a confrontation with her regarding the extra marital affair.”
“My affair with Frank was wrong, I should never have let it go as far as it did, but there is no way I would hurt her,” Marlene said and began weeping. “I miss her so much.”

“Did you tell your mother at any time, you would take care of her if she told your husband about your boyfriend?”
