Personal Narrative: My Job As A C. S. I. Agent
Imagine you just got a new job in a small town where everyone knows everyone. You walk in and everyone stops to stare at you because no one has gotten a new job in 5 years. That embarrassment that you feel is how I feel when I walked into my new job. 10 years later I’m still hard at work at my “new” job. What do I do? Well, my job could be described as a C.S.I. agent. I look at dead people and I tell how they were killed. However, I have a hunch that all the murderers are connected somehow. Normally when I have a hunch it’s right. No one seems to believe me this time though. So, I decided to talk to some of my closer friends and try to convince them to go to the place where I think the “boss” stays. After some explaining I got my partner and one other of my friends to go out to the warehouse where the “boss” is hiding. We prepared guns and knives in hidden places that unless they strip us butt naked they will not find. We took weapons just incase we got attacked. So, we got to the …show more content…

It didn’t last very long but in the short time we were shooting at each other my partner got shot. While the one remaining friend covered me, I called 911 and got some police plus an ambulance on the way. I wanted to get out. I didn’t want anyone else to get

I didn’t care about the fact that we caught the main guy or that I had all the glory, I just cared about my partner’s health. It turns out he had passed and I had a good bond with him, we were good friends and now he is gone.
A couple months had passed and I missed him but today I got a new partner. He is pretty cute. He is nice too so I guess I have a crush on my new partner. Well I’ll to wait and see what the future

As the single child in a family with working parents, I spent the most time of my childhood living and hanging around with my dog. This experience might be one of the reasons that I am very compassionate to animals and sensitive to people’s needs. My voluntary work is in a welfare house called Alenah's home. I love working there because I like seeing the smile face of the children there – even some autism babies don’t smile facially, I believe they can feel the love when being caressed softly.…

Just as suddenly as you got to the ground you stand up and look back to see a man laying on the floor shrieking in pain. You being a “Good Samaritan,” rush over to the man. When I joined the police department, I knew I wanted to be a part of something great. I wanted to leave a legacy and make an impression on others. I was the first in my family to choose a career in law enforcement, so initially, I was unaware of the challenges this career field came with. My mom was a teacher, and my dad worked in the printing business. Both were successful in their chosen fields, but they were blind to the demands required for a fulfilling career in law enforcement. To be successful, I would need to be observant of those around me who had found success. I would need to mirror their ways and incorporate their habits into my own. I would need to learn from their failures. Most importantly, I would need to learn what made them…

My parents used to fight each other when I was young. My father has a common characteristic which shows on almost all traditional Asia men and that is male chauvinism. When the wife is a traditional Asia woman, it builds up a happy family in the world. However, my mother has her own opinion so sometimes fighting became a common thing in our family. Even though when I grew up and they stopped fighting and started arguing, I still can remember the feelings – helpless, scared and anxious. Therefore, when I meet a client who has involved in domestic violence, my experience may affect my view and consultation for my clients. To be a professional social worker, I need to have an objective view and not taking any bias on clients. For example, I may feel sorry for the victims which represent me and my mother in my mind, and pursue them to make a decision that I recognize is good for them.…

This week reminded me how amazing and important my job is. Friday was a busy day at the office; I was rushing to finish my work so I could leave on time. As I was about to leave I received a phone call from a hiring manager (Mark) with NOAA. Mark had questions about the interview process and was calling to speak to one of my colleagues. Unfortunately, my colleague was on vacation and wouldn’t be back for another week. I looked at the clock and realized it was time to go but I could hear the frustration in Mark’s voice. Instead of leaving, I spent almost an hour listening to Mark’s concerns, answering his questions, and I explained how the federal hiring process works. At the end of our conversation, Mark thanked me for my time and he told me…

“I graduated from the police academy in the 1980’s and have made plenty of friends and enemies. After completing on the job training, I was placed in the narcotics division where I received my first partner named, (name retracted for legality reasons, but we can call him Bill). For the first few months we worked as UC’s busting small-time operations. Everything went will until a few months later when I became a detective. Bill was still working in narcotics at the time. One night I received a distress call from Officer Bill’s address. I was not the first on scene. When I made contact, my police sergeant pulled me aside said the situation is being handled so I left the scene. A few days later I learned that Bill had beaten his wife pretty badly. I later learned that his wife was not only pressing charges,…
