Personal Narrative: My Involvement, Athleticism, And Intelligence
I feel my best qualities are my involvement, athleticism, and Intelligence.
One of my best qualities is my involvement. I feel involvement is important because it assists me in meeting new people and expanding my knowledge of the surrounding communities. I demonstrate my involvement by participating in science fair and joining clubs from separate schools. Another example of my involvement is being in ICY and participating in church events. I am also involved in volleyball, basketball, and track.
Another quality of mine is my athleticism. Athleticism is probably the biggest part of my life. Playing sports in the summer with teams from different areas is a good example of my athleticism. Another example is going to open gyms during the off season

Specific qualities that I possess are respect, responsibility, ambition, and accommodation. I demonstrate respect when I obey authority figures such as teachers and police and also follow rules and regulations. When I complete my homework assignments from my classes and do my chores and home, I show responsibility. I yearn and shrive to do my best, so that in the future, I would be successful and go to the college of my wish. For as long as I remember, I have been raised with a basketball hoop. This hoop stood firmly, looking down at the trees secured by patches of cement in my backyard, in my neighborhood, Dorchester. This hoop was my center of faith and tranquility surrounded by gunfires, shattering windows, car alarms. As a girl, I learned not to adventure any place else other than this hoop because going beyond its faded lines on the concrete is an unknown world full of hazards and danger. And when I did cross these seraphic lines, I could sense the bittersweet emotions running throughout the neighborhood, my home.…

When I was in second grade I learned that I loved competing with people and being good at things. I joined a gymnastics gym near my house in second grade when i was 9, and started competing when i was 10. My mom told me that I have to do well in school if I was going to be focused on a sport along with school, or she would take me out of gymnastics. Soon enough, I wasn’t doing so well in social studies and comm skills. I was scared my mom would make me quit, But I worked as hard as I could so get back up there. Focusing more on school than outside activities, I got that grade back up and I continued with my favorite sport. I love gymnastics, but I don’t let it get in the way of school because school always comes first.…

After getting feedback from twelve people about my positive attributes, I found patterns in how friends, family, and classmates thought I brought value. The positive attribute that was brought up the most out of the twelve people was my attentiveness to others. I was described as being an individual who cares about others and is concerned about others wellbeing. The next attribute that I picked out of the respondents was my hard work and passion. Respondents described me as a person who contributes a sense of passion and hard work surrounding that passion. The third positive attribute that was brought up was my athletic ability. I was described as a person with a natural ability to be skilled at most sports. I was told that I have been this way since I was a little kid. The last attribute that I chose from the feedback was trust. It was mentioned in almost all my feedback that I am a person who can be trusted, and is trusted quickly by new people. The feedback that I got from friends, family and classmates will help me develop my positive attributes even further.…

The first of these exceptional traits is empowerment. With empowerment, I realized that I have the ability to make someone’s life better. It has built up my self-worth beyond words. For example, our club made weekly visits to the local nursing home. We would sit with the men and women and share stories, sing songs, and eat lunch with them. It does not seem like much, but they always told us how much they appreciated us for coming. It made our club happy to know we were making them smile and changing their lives in a positive way.…
