It all started when I was working in the nursing home one winter day before Christmas. I have always been a child of God, went to church, taught teenagers about Christ and the things he can and will do for you. So the day I was working a little elderly woman came up to me and said “Bridgette, you should go out in the world and teach and help the less fortunate children and adults about his word.” I thought
“Wow, this woman is right, I can do so much more out there then I can being in a building all day.” The problem that I was thinking is that I love my job and working with the elderly everyday ( I have been doing this since I was 17 or 18 years old) I really didn’t know anything else in the world. It was the only University I had seen that had a Bachelor program for Biblical Studies (which is what I was looking for) and also I had the opportunity to further my education and get my Master’s in Theology Studies or even my Master’s in
Biblical Studies.None the less I was elated on the news about this particular college. I knew God was trying to point me in the right direction that he saw fit for me to pursue myself and pursue spreading his word around the world. So I applied to Colorado Christian University.
My phone rang and the caller id said CCU and I picked it up and low and behold the lady on the other end said “Bridgette, you have been accepted to CCU!” I am pretty sure I screamed, cried and jumped around like a banshee, but I was so excited about the acceptance. God had smiled on me that day and I will never forget it.
So with this experience that I will get and have so far from this university is amazing. I will be able to teach, help and have people fall in love with the Lord like I have. Of course my goals are as listed above, getting my bachelors and then going to work on my masters. My long term goal will be helping
