Personal Narrative: Little Simon Grey's Birth Day
Today is Little Simon Grey's supposed to be 37th week due date. And now we have a little one week old baby boy.
People aren't kidding when they say that time flies. I woke up today and said that I wish I could do it all over again! Simon Grey's birth day was one (ishi's birth too) of the best days of my life.. and while it gets better every day.. it's sad to think that the day I anticipated for so long is gone.
I have spent the last few days just staring at my little boy.
All of his funny facial expressions & cutie little noises make me laugh. Since he was a preterm baby, he always has his legs in funny positions..so curled...when I am trying to change his clothes, he puts his leg straight in the air and locks his knee. Exactly what would make

According to Professor Heather Paxson (2006) of MIT, gender refers to the characteristics that differentiate men and women’s behaviors and it includes value judgments connected to masculinity and femininity and everything in between. However, as one learns more and more about gender, they question the necessity of gender and even its existence. In the piece X: A Fabulous Child’s Story by Lois Gould (1978 or 2006) gender is portrayed as unimportant in order to have a good life; gender doesn’t matter. It shows that people have a need to categorize everything into groups because if they don’t, the unknown lingers in their minds and they fear it. People fear the unknown and the different, therefore they fear any gender other than the binary. But…

Walking up the drive towards the cottage, Sam thought about just how freakish it would be to be chased by a half-naked, bearded man. That sight seemed fitting to Sam, and enough of a scare to not bother the boys’ mothers. As he hobbled his way towards where the front door should have been, nursing what he thought to be a pulled hamstring, Sam took a moment to reflect on the splattering of eggs. The yellow yokes harshly contrasted the deep blackness of the wood shingles. He found the empty carton cast haphazardly next to the blank spot in the rock border. The Boston boy, having used the last of the eggs, decided to instead throw a rock in an effort to impress his new friends.…

I don’t remember much about how my family died, I was just a three year old boy; Keenan Waren. All I can remember is it was Thanksgiving day with my whole family. I know it was this day because the smell of the turkey was burnt into my memory, and it’s also what the people at the orphanage told me as I was growing up. Something else I can recall is seeing a tall, bulky shadow holding a green flame in his hand after the lights shut off. Everyone was screaming, but I am still unsure of what was happening to them. My mom carried me out into the rainy night in front of the house in my carseat, and I was crying for the teddy bear my aunt gave me for my first birthday. I kept crying, so my mom covered me with blanket and ran back inside to grab it…

It is a beautiful day in Sacramento, California and I am just getting lunch at “Mrs. Castillo’s home for Orphans” while I was eating string cheese and carrots with my best friend Elijah, my other friend Allie ran into the cafeteria and said “Hey! Samara! I have something for you, from Mrs. Castillo! After she was done sprinting, she handed me a note that said “Mrs. Castillo’s office, and I looked at the bottom and I saw something circled… and it said NOW!!! In all capitals. I knew that I did something wrong, I just knew it! I was so nervous I felt like I was going to throw up. I don’t have small children that I could have taken to the park with the purpose of conducting my observation. The thought of sitting at a park by myself made me a little uneasy and I felt I would look out of place sitting there looking at the children. I conducted my observation in Merced California, at one of the local schools. Every Saturday, soccer games are played at the school drawing large crowds to the games. I sat on the sideline among the spectators and was able to blend in and conduct my observations without raising suspicion. I did not observe the children playing in the soccer games but rather focused my attention on observing children that were not part of any soccer…

In order to write her story I interviewed the lady to collect the information she remembers. According to what she can remember she told me that she had been trying to have a baby for 10 years so she was really happy to find out that she was expecting a baby. monica was 42 years old when she conceived molly. Due to her age and her diabetes she was a high risk pregnancy. During her pregnancy she became insulin dependent and had to visit the doctors office twice a week leading up to the final weeks of pregnancy. We all have to thank our parents for bringing us to life. If your adopted, thank your foster parents for raising you. Without them, you wouldn't be who you are today. We were all born at some point. Shocker, right? When we were born, our parents give us names, and a life. Now, everybody has some story behind their name, or a little something about how something happened when they were born. Maybe it's a broken bone, or some sort of defect. I personally had one injury, but if you want to see what it was, you'll have to keep reading.…
