It would be amazing to have a twin. We would be able to do almost everything with each other. We would be in the same grade so we could do homework together, especially if I am having trouble. It would also be more fun to play with someone your own age so I wouldn’t have to always play my little sisters games all the time. If I was going to go my little sister’s soccer game, I would not have to be fatigued because we could go to the park and play with each other. Being a twin would just be perfect.…

The nature argument towards people’s behaviour is that traits such as intelligence, personality, aggression and sexual orientation are encoded in a persons DNA. This would suggest that Identical twins would have the exact same levels of intelligence, personality and aggression. It also suggests that identical twins would both have the same sexual orientation but as we saw in a psychology lesson there were two identical twins where one showed very masculine traits for a male such as playing with toy guns and cars and the other showed very feminine traits like playing with barbies even though they were identical twins which suggests that not everything can be only down to your genetic makeup.…

Twins are important for studies of nature vs. nurture theories in psychology because they are one of the few ways to study and see results due to their shared genetics. There are studies that have been done on this topic, however not that many since it is a long term experiment and in some cases it was done without even the twins or their parents and families knowing about it happening. There are multiple existing coincidental examples and planned studies that were done in which it is shown that twins were influenced in both genetic and environmental ways. It is however hard to completely choose one side based on these studies because it seems that the answer is that both aspects are necessary and make us who we are, which is also what most scientists and psychologists agree on.…

Just as no two people are alike, no two personalities are alike. Each person’s personality is unique to the individual to whom it belongs. A person may share the same traits as others, such as family members, and while there may be similarities in traits, each individual will have different patterns which will help to make up a different personality (Feist & Feist, 2006). A personality is made up of different characteristics which help to define a person and make them an individual. Besides traits and characteristics, a personality can be made up of a person’s thoughts, feelings, actions, and behavior.…

As twins, we have many similarities in our appearances. My sister and I both normal size, and have the same height. Furthermore, we both have brown hair, brown eyes, and same face structure. Our round faces are almost identical. We also wear the same sizes in clothes because of our same figure. Our tiny hands and chubby feet look exactly alike. Moreover, our styles of fashion are also similar, including baggy t-shirts, shorts, and flip flops. This similar appearance was a problem growing up, because we would steal each others’ clothes. But we use our same style in fashion to our advantage; we both always have each other to go shopping with. When the two of us are talking our voices come out sounding the same. People are sometimes confused on what twin is talking. If the both of us had our backs turned to you there would be no way in telling which one was who. One main thing we share together is each other friendship. I can go to my sister with anything. She is my best friend. She also feels the same about our friendship.…

I, for one, do not think it depends completely on “genes” I definitely think it depends on how our parents raise us and in what environment we are in at the time of growing up. Like let’s say both parents are action-oriented and fun-loving and they raise their child to be like that as well, but as the child grows she, even though her parents have tried to have her open up and be action-oriented and fun-living, tends to me more shy and likes to keep to herself and not have attention drawn to her. In another case, the parents are serious and quiet, and the child turn out to be assertive and outspoken, something that their parents are not and don’t know where he/she got it from. So can it be in our genes or can it be in how we are nurtured by our parents and the nature of it?…
