Personal Narrative: I Was Born On Ellsworth Air Force Base In South Dakota
Suddenly, There I Was April 7th, 1999 is when I was born on Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota. I only lived there for two weeks after I was born. While we were in South Dakota my parents had bought my cat Sadie. She is actually still alive to this day! My mom had told me that the night I was born the doctor had an emergency Cholecystectomy and came to check on us the next day wearing a gown and pushing his own IV poll. After living in South Dakota for a couple of weeks, we then moved to Indiana. We only lived there for a year and then moved to Missouri. I do not remember anything about living at those two places because I was only about a year and a half old. We only stayed in Missouri for a month then we moved to Illinois where my parents family lived, and also because my grandma was diagnosed with breast …show more content…
My parents had lived in Illinois their whole life and grew up there so when we moved back to Illinois it was basically saying that we were just going home. My name was chosen by my mom because she said that Danielle was one of her favorite girl names. She also said that one of her good friends name is Danielle and my mom told her that she was gonna name me after her. A couple days after I was born is when the first ever school shooting happened at Columbine High School in 1999 in Colorado. I share a birthday with Kassidy Steffen and Colleen Daniels. The first couple years of my life I honestly do not remember. My mom has told me stories about when I was a baby. When I was little I loved to help out and do whatever my mom was doing. From doing the dishes to making cookies I was there to help out. My mom told me that I was a momma's girl. I always cried when my mom left to go to work. I also had a big imagination and always like to

My name is Kellee Layne Benjamin, and I will be twenty-three years old on February 4th, 2010. I was born and raised as a mid-western in Columbus, Ohio. I grew up with a large family of all sisters, half sisters, step sisters and one brother totaling eleven children. I was one of the younger, but considered to be the middle because of the age ranges between all of us. I grew up with seven siblings including myself, and the other four siblings were grown and had kids already. I lived in a small suburb of Columbus called Westerville. Westerville is a place where everyone knows everyone, even though they had four major high schools within this small town. Westerville is a very friendly place, where not a lot of crimes were committed. Westerville was “dry” my whole life growing up, but has recently changed so that they sell alcohol in certain markets around town.…

When I was five years old, I began to notice that things were not quite right with my body. I was getting sick a lot, and always found myself going to the bathroom. In addition to that, and something that also supplemented the bathroom situation, was that I was always thirsty and in need of a drink. After a while my mother decided to take me to the doctor’s office, where they did some blood testing to hopefully determine what was wrong with me. The results came back, and they said that I had Type 1 Diabetes. The immediately took me to the hospital, Childrens Hospital of Pittsburgh, where I was hooked up to an IV and stayed in the emergency room for an entire week. What happened would be something that changed my life from that moment forward.…

My life started on December 13, 1999 In Ahoskie, North Carolina. I was born at 12 p.m. As my family would tell it was a very different day for everyone. I was my mom’s first born child and the same for my dad. I really don’t remember much about my childhood. The furthest back I remember is like 4th grade way back when I made my mother proud. I had straight A’s and I never had a single write up. I always tried to do the best I could to get through the years and I did well until the sixth grade.…

It all started with this very simple question, “Do you want to move to Florida?” When my mom had asked that, we had just came back from our spring break vacation in Florida. We lived in Kentucky and my siblings and I went to St. Albert, I was in fifth grade. Of course when my mom said that my whole family thought it was a joke, so we all had said sure to the idea. About a week later, I forgot about the question, so after school one day my parents had told me and my siblings they had a surprise for us. Little did I know that we were actually moving to Florida.…

July 14th, 1931. I lie in my deathbed at 10:49 pm, thinking. It seems like just yesterday I was only five, with my whole life ahead of me. I remember my mother told me stories while I sat on her lap. She would make hot chocolate and I would listen to her talk. My favorite story always started the same way. On September 2nd, 1903, the day I was born. My mom went into labor a month earlier than expected, so it was a good thing that they already bought baby supplies. The only problem was my parents thought I was going to be a girl. My mother would laugh every time she spoke of this, but she always assured me afterwards that they both love me all the same, no matter who I turned out to be. They named me Lawrence Exeter, after my father. This was the last and only memory I have of my mom before she left us.…

My full name is Christina Kaysone Chantharavongsa and I was born March 23, 1995 in Bridgeport Hospital located in Bridgeport, Connecticut. It was a little city and a small world since a ton of people would know each other. My parents were in an arranged marriage and were both moved to the United States from Laos during their high school years. But I’m actually half Laotian and Thai since my mom’s side is Thai from Thailand although she was born in an Asian Southeastern country called Laos. I’m the second oldest out of four children with two sisters and one brother. The order goes from Sarah, Christina (me), Kenny, and Anita. From my very first baby photo, I was described as a giant tomato because my face was red like one. My first words were like any baby can typically say: mama. Since my parents spoke mostly Laotian at home, saying mama would be “maeh” (Language Development). My infant years around 2 or 3, I was considered a curious one. I’d always liked to climb on top of chairs to see what were on the tables and I tended to dig through drawers to see what kind of items I would find in there then chew on it. My favorite thing to chew on was a Barbie doll ( Piagment, Sensorimotor stage). I was pretty clumsy as a toddler and my parents weren’t very affectionate towards me (Trust vs. Mistrust). I remember then until now we had strained relationships. If I did anything wrong or if any of my siblings did, they would hit us as punishment. Wooden spoons were usually used, getting our hair pulled, and getting the side of our face smacked or punched.…

My day was going on like any other day; everything was the same until the phone rang. I picked up the phone and all I heard was crying on the other end. I instantly got worried and asked frantically what was wrong, but the upset parent just kept sobbing while trying to explain what had happened. It took a minute for me to decipher what it was she was saying, but once I had figured it out it hit me hard in the chest. My best friend had been admitted into the hospital for seizures. I begged everyone I knew with a license to drive me down to see her. It didn’t take too long before someone gave in and agreed to drive me. We left for Cincinnati as soon as we could leave, the five hour drive seemed like an eternity of worry and distress, but finally we made it to the hospital.…
