Personal Narrative: I Tried My Best Thing '
I tried my best to make everything was clear and done for a reason. I felt like the mayor switching side was a little forced but it was the best thing I could come up with. Someone had to save the protagonist from being killed early so I used the mayor. I think it flows well and makes sense. I think the mayor was the toughest character to create because what I had him say and do was important because he could of being lying the hold time for his own good, I did not want the reader to think that the mayor was trying to trick the protagonist, so I tried my best to make that clear. Making the protagonist reassure the reader that he was aware of the mayor being a liar was my way to ensure the reader that the mayor was a good guy.

After a certain amount of reading, the story began picking itself up from the dialogue but in a rather slow pace. After 10 % of the story, specific sections of the story were still not clear in my opinion such as how Chief began his imprisonment in the Ward or whether or not Chief is actually mentally ill. At 25% there was still quite amount of dialogue but unanswered questions from before were being filled in. At 50% of the story, I began to understand Chiefs obsession of the fog and enjoyed the competitive rivalry between Nurse Ratched and MCMurphy. At 75% of the story, I had to acknowledge how McMurphy had dramatically changed from the begining to now, as he became more aggravated and physical all because of Nurse Ratched and the Mental Ward. If I were to change anything about the story I would have included relevant information in the beginning for readers so it won't be confusing when continuing on with the…

Lone his vast support base from the African Americans and his support he gives them, he stays distant when decisions have to be made. Though uses his respect for the African American community to find his way to ‘victor’. Thompson uses his ‘somewhat’ wise tactics to keep his public figure on the good side. A major theme in my life is improvement. I challenge myself to take risks and set high expectations for myself. For instance, I strive to run faster and for longer distances every couple of times I approach the treadmill belt. I am obstinate about my minimum distance, 2.2 miles, and my minimum speed, 6.8. A major component of improving myself is learning. Every new word is a miniscule enhancement of my massive English vocabulary pool, but it is still a step in the right direction. I enjoy becoming more knowledgeable in both domestic and international affairs. I wish I could have more time to pour into reading current event and health articles. I am particularly attached to drumming the latest scientific discovery or innovate biotechnology product…

A time when I experienced extreme failure was when I was in my sophomore year of high school. When I started the year, I had the mindset of, “This is going to be easy. I’m not going to sweat it.” Reason being, in my freshman year, I passed all my classes easily and I thought the next school year would be the same. I was in for a rude awakening by then. It was my first year starting an AP class and I heard stories that it was going to be easy if one paid attention in class. As the first semester went, it was a struggle already. I had easily underestimated the workload and found myself barely passing with a C. I have the type of personality where I put a lot of pressure on myself and stress out easily; as one can imagine, I was very hard on myself.…
