Personal Narrative: I Believe In America
The America I Believe In
“Brave hearts do not back down.” This quote is special to me because I know people I would consider as brave or a hero, but my top pick would be the soldiers. We can all agree that there is much more that our extraordinary veterans go through in order to make this nation the very best. I believe in an America that offers every child access to a world-class education, gives back to our current and fallen heroes, and that creates a common sense gun law in an effort to save our loved ones.
I believe in an America where every child receives a solid, high class education that ensures future success. We must remind teachers that the heart and future of America is in their hands, so a well rounded education that every kid has access to is essential to the future of America. It’s very heart-breaking to hear that there are many kids around the world that are not getting a good education, causing them

I find this unacceptable that other human beings would be so driven in carrying out impulsive acts such as killing others, even if it meant having to spare their own lives. The future of America would be much safer if we made a common sense gun law. I believe there would be a strikingly reduced amount of deaths and tragedies that leave our nation scarred. We also need to do background checks to ensure that nobody who is mentally-ill, disabled, or has any other illness reaches or owns a gun that could potentially injure or kill another innocent human being. If America would come together and make a team effort in making my wishes true, I believe that our nation would be a more welcoming and human-friendly nation to all. Our veterans have been the biggest and most positive impact in our nations striving and efforts in trying to become a better nation. I give all my thanks and respect to the people who currently serve our country and the people who have fallen as

I think that American citizen should not be able to own a firearm because many people kill innocent people all the time. Many people kill for violent reason and for no reason. There is a lot of heart aches from all the killing and massacres that people do. The Brady Campaign to prevent gun violence reports that an average of 268 people are shot every day in America. That's 97,820 per year. Maybe, but people with guns kill many, many more people than they would if they didn't have guns, and guns are designed to kill as many people as possible. We don't know if the murderers are suffering from a suicidal depression, but many mass shooters in the past were. And guess what? People suffer from suicidal depression everywhere in the world. People get angry and upset everywhere in the world. The reason is that people in those places who have these impulses have an easy way to access lethal weapons and unlimited ammunition. But if you want to kill large numbers of people and you happen to be an American, you'll find it easy to do.…

People can commit terrible crimes and not be a criminal or mentally ill. Growing up on a farm, I was around guns a lot. With that being said, I was also taught how dangerous they were. I was always directed to never play with them or use them if not instructed to do so in a safe environment. People will kill people regardless. You put a law on guns, sure it will lower the rate for awhile, but it will never rend it. They put the word “illegal: in front of many drugs and they are still used everyday. I believe we should look past the guns and see the people behind them. Banning guns is the easy way out, the problem here isn't guns, it is people losing the values of…

(Kaleka)”, and once time passes, the rest of the country forgets about the tragedies and we think it’ll never happen again, The Sandy Hook Massacre occurs. That’s the thing with this so called “gun control”, we think we have everything under control until one person decides to take it upon themselves to end the lives of countless others. The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution gives the citizens of America the right of the people to bear arms. This was adopted with the rest of the Bill of Rights. However, with this being said there are people that take this right to heart, and they feel they should be able to have any gun they want. There are guns that are specifically designed for military, some local or state law enforcement and are illegal for the average person to own. There are a lot of Federal and state laws that have to be met prior to anyone purchasing and therefore, owning a gun. There are safety laws that have been put in place to keep guns out of the hands of convicted felons, children, and the mentally handicapped as well as other irresponsible people that may have the ability to injure or kill another human being. There are also certain criteria a person will have to meet before the purchase of a gun will go through. A gun owner knows what it takes to kill and those individuals know there should be different forms of gun control measures to help prevent accidents from occurring. As the saying goes “Guns don’t kill people, people do." The prevention of accidents is just one reason for supporting gun control. Another reason to support gun control is to prevent the people already mentioned from having the ability to get a gun that can be used to injure or intimidate people. Better enforcement of the many gun laws we have in place currently should be the priority of the state and local law enforcement agencies. Commandeering someone’s gun or extremely over-the-top gun laws are not the answers to fixing the gun problems we are faced with today. Strictly enforcing current laws, we have in place now is the answer.…
