Personal Narrative: I Am A Bottlenose Dolphin
I am a bottlenose dolphin. I live in tropical waters worldwide. I am a resident dolphin along the coasts of Georgia, Florida, Texas, Southern California and gulf of California. I love to live in a Coastal zone because is the most productive and valuable ecosystem in the earth. Carbon absorption, oxygen production, habit for creatures and biodiversecity, are just a few of the services, Many people think that I am fish because of my shape, but I am mammal. Unlike fish, I breathe through lungs not gills. In other for me to survive in the ocean, I have to frequently trip to the surface of the water to catch breath: carbon dioxide is excreted and oxygen taken up. I also have a circulatory system similar to humans called cardiovascular system.
