Personal Narrative: Haemophilia
When I was a sixth grader at St. Martha I sat next to a girl named Jordan in math class, I noticed she was wearing a silver bracelet with red writing on it. I asked her what kind of bracelet it was, she told me it was a medical bracelet that she had to wear due to her being a haemophilia. She proceeded to go on to explain to me what haemophilia was and that she had to wear the bracelet in case of an emergency. She told me it was a blood disease that prevented her blood from clotting and that if she got cut it could cause seriously consequences. She told me that she needed to wear her bracelet because she was a cheerleader and if she was injury her coaches would have the information need to contact the appropriate personnel to help her.
