Personal Narrative: Exploring The Patterns Of Humanity
If I had a ticket to go anywhere I wanted, I would choose the inside of the human body, since it would be the best way to be one-on-one with it. I am intrigued to find out what really happens inside, explore the actions we do every day without even realizing. I am fascinated by the capability of the human body, how it can manage to work as a whole. We learn about the it in books, but it’s just words on paper, to deal with it in person is a whole different story.
I would visit the most impressive organs and areas of the body, just like you would in a carnival with your favorite rides. First of all, once in the human body, I would start by observing the heart. It is one of the most salient organs we have, and yet it is so tenuous. It would be like a song going on in there, with …show more content…
Next, I would check out the millions of cells that we have, inspect that all of them are continuing their cycle. They would be rushing past me, like a herd of buffalo, too many to count. Along the way, I would discover that one of the cells is not completing the whole cycle, it has become abnormal and wants to start spreading. Instantly, I would find a natural killer cell and chase the abnormal cell, until I reached it and stopped it from spreading. Soon to realize, that it had already spread to five other cells. Therefore, I would go on a chase to find all of them and banish them, before they became cancerous. It would be like laser tag, where I would have natural killer cells and hide from the abnormal cells, wait for them to be visible and shoot them with the killer cell. Furthermore, I would check out the breaking down of food, how the digestive system starts, but maybe I won’t explore the ending of it. Since, I am not the healthiest eater, I would like to explore how foods in reality end up benefiting you or just doing harm.
