Personal Narrative: Dog Poppy
I found that I spent most days fearing the worst and I struggled to see any positives to my life. I was always very active and I loved taking my dog Poppy for long walks in the evening. It was difficult for me to understand a person in my position getting MS. I felt like I was falling into a deep hole and there was no hope of a way out. I stopped leaving the house and I gained a lot of weight due to not being active which added to my low mood and hopeless feelings. My blood pressure went through the roof and that’s when I realised I needed to make some changes.
