Personal Narrative: Developing Leadership Power
During my learning experience in this module, the concept that found is the most valuable to me was Developing Leadership Power. I think it is the most valuable because I strongly believe that no leader would be able to take care of their respective followers if that leader can not grasp the scope of the responsibilities attached to his leadership role. For example, during module five of Noncommissioned Officer Academy (NCOA) we went over chapter two, Leader Influence. The lesson states that leadership is divided into two types of power; positional power and personal power. As I read and understand these type of power, I realize that if take a leadership approach to a specific situation while lacking one of the two type of powers, then I will not be perceived

If trust is lacking, uncertainty is present. Therefore, after I think about and relate this information to my current task in the military; furthermore working hand to hand with the Intelligence community, and international allies; I learn that if I want to be a strong leader I need to work on certain things that I want to discuss. To start with, I will apply personal power by knowing my primary responsibilities and duties. Furthermore, I will take advantage of upcoming opportunities as training, community events, and also be involved as much as possible in leadership roles with organizations like the squadron Booster club, base 5/6, Air Force Sergeants Association (AFSA), or any other type of organization that is designed to cover current issues among our workforce and organization. At the same time, I will apply positional power by being committed to provide constant feedback to anyone assigned under me. This feedback will serve to correct those in the workplace who commit unethical behaviors and under performance on their assigned
