Personal Narrative: Applying In Ethiopia
I was born and raised in one of the poorest country in the world, Ethiopia. Ethiopia’s life expectancy is one of the lowest and civilians do not receive the medical attention they need. I have witnessed people being sent home from the hospital since they do need have enough money and doctors were not “available.” I was one of the people who was told to come back a year later due to doctors being not available. The injury that I had was a devastating one that could have ended my life. My skull was cracked and I was bleeding internally. Even though, the damage to my skull was rapidly weakening my body, I was not seen by the doctors.
