A Day without Immigrants underlines the contributions of immigrants at every level, specially in the business field. Business owners, such as restaurants, supermarkets, and shops, closed their business for a day to allow people experience inconvenience and to emphasize importance of the immigrants. Employees took a day off and students were absent from school to express discontent about the executive orders by holding the march. Personally, I feel immigrants, at some point, are considered as a minority group in the America. They have to go through lots of difficulties to come a U.S citizen to be able to have a better life, to achieve the American Dream. High percentage of the newcomers are blue-collar.
