Personal Narrative: A Career In Medical School
Within the next five years I have hoped I had finished college and had starting my first year in medical school. I plan on going on to Rhode Island College, after graduating from Classical High School, and major in Biology. After 4 years and receiving my Bachelors in biology, I would hope that I get accepted into Brown University Alpert Medical School. With the partial scholarship to Rhode Island College and the wonderful network their biology program has with Alpert Medical School, I should have no problem achieving this five year goal. The only thing in my way is time.
Many people don’t know, but I used to play the piano. I started at the age of 5 or 6 and I had an Chinese instructor. Throughout those years I had grown to love music, not just classical, baroque, and romantic music, all types of music; I had an eccentric taste in music. I felt that if I ever got good enough to go to Berkeley College of Music, maybe I could pursue a career as a successful pianist. It was not only my hopes of becoming a pianist, it was secretly my father’s, my mother’s and my piano teacher’s hopes …show more content…
The first would have to be the racial issues that are coherent with police brutality that is sweeping our country. I feel as if we have started to come to a point where it is bringing a dawning segregation between black and whites, once again after going through so many boycotts and marches. The second issue would have to be how the government feels obligated to have control over Americans’ diets. Whether it be through school lunches or the restriction of super-sized slurpees in New York, we should be able to choose what we put into our bodies regardless of its risk. The last issue would have to be the long term effects of playing contact sports starting at a young age. With the amount of head on collisions in these sports, there has to be some health concerns for these
