Personal Goals 1 Abstract
The ultimate result of this paper will reflect my personal goals that I hope to achieve as a University of Phoenix student and which I have been and am trying to pursue and obtain. They are goals that I feel I need to have in life in order to survive, prosper, and succeed to higher full-filling and journeys. In this essay, I hope to convey to the reader how I am optimistically moving to reach these goals, as well as represent to the reader how one can set their mind to determine the goals that he or she needs and/or wants to reach and see that he or she can do it! My personal goals that I would like to achieve as a University of Phoenix student are naturally instilled in me. They are goals (at least most of the goals) that I strive for everyday. One goal that I would like to achieve, is to be the best student that can possibly be. This means that I want to learn, read, communicate, be prepared for, and successfully complete as much material as I can with respect to all my course's assignments and participation throughout my entire Bachelor Degree Curriculum. My mom always taught me, and I always preach to my children, that knowledge is power! This fact, (at least to me, it is a fact) having been instilled in me at such an early age, has been the driving force that has shaped my traits of inquisitiveness, determination, and motivation to seek and find answers to even just

My dream for the next four years is to achieve a Physician Assistant degree at St. John’s University. As I transition to college from high school, I understand how there is no one in the world besides myself to help me reach my goal and it will require hard work as well as motivation to reach that point. At times, I feel overwhelmed with the struggles that arise in achieving my degree, but that would not stop me from my main point in coming to this school. I am able to connect my experience to the experience the Nolan’s and my dad went through when it was their time to achieve their dreams. I find it to be very lucky to go to school in New York because I am already one step ahead of my game to fulfill my target since New York is the place where there are many opportunities for everyone. Hence, having a motivated outlook on life, everything that is impossible will be…

I am an examiner, an adventurer, an investigator and an observer. All of these qualities come forth prominently through being a student. Life is a journey of learning, I believe in being a student throughout life and I will take a front row seat. Through being a student, I've learned not only about the concepts at hand, however about myself as well. To perform optimally, one must discover what motivates them. I am a student who is motivated by a desire to acquire knowledge of anything and everything. Curiosity of the unknown inspires me to learn, I want to know what I don't already know. Also an underlying but important motivation is financial need. In our society it is nearly impossible to survive or provide for a family based on an income lacking a college degree. Also an inspiration of mine as a student is setting a prime example for my siblings of how very important an education is. With glamorous images of professional athletes and rock stars flooding the media, the concept of education being so valuable is often undermined. Though I feel that being a student can be fun, the hard work will result in the accomplishment of completion of a degree which will be rewarding for all of my life. Being educated is a valuable quality that no one may take from you. I am motivated to be a desirable asset in our society's work force. My intentions through learning as a student is to one day become a teacher. Every aspect of being a student, whether it be reading, writing, or being taught present opportunities to explore beyond facts and into the depths of your own mind and thoughts. Being a good student means allowing one's self to let go of preconceived notions and acknowledge other points of view and information, which is also important as a teacher.…

What should be held up as the ultimate goal is both knowledge and wisdom gained in school that can be put to good use in life. When the student sees that this fact, or that bit of information, can have real value somewhere besides on an examination, that student will want to learn. And that student will have a higher score on any examination. Knowledge - and wisdom. One needs the other, and we all need both.…
