Introduction

Knowledge is an unlimited valuable and being an important part of our life, therefore, we are always being a learner from the child to the elder. In order to balance your weaknesses when performing a work, it is helpful to develop your own strategies. Learning styles are defined as a type of preference for the way you learn and remember new information (Wyman, 2012). So, how to be an effectively learning style to expand our knowledge and techniques? Learning style preferences in accordance with personality types can help educators plan for activities that take advantage of their natural skills and inclinations (Sims & Sims, 1995). It is important that how we can use our own preferences and personality to be transferable skills in job performance.

There are tests to use for knowing our personality and preferred learning styles as the role of a learner, which are VARK questionnaires, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and Honey & Mumford Learning Styles Questionnaire. The result of tests can use to assist my career choice and the method to be learn which is suitable my personality.

1.1 Who am I as a learner?
What is “learning”? Learning is such a common human experience that people rarely reflect on exactly what it means to say that something has been learned. It is an enduring change in the mechanisms of behaviour involving specific stimuli and responses that results from prior experience with those or similar stimuli and responses (Domjan, 2009).

1.2 Implication for your learning
1.2.1 The VARK questionnaire
The VARK test asks a series of questions to assist people with determining their preferred mode or modes of receiving and exchanging information in the context of learning. It allows the respondent to identify her dominant mode of learning (Hendricks, 2011). There are four types of learning style which are Visual, Auditory, Read/Write and Kinesthetic.

    When one thinks back to their childhood, they may remember the career they wanted to pursue but at the time didn’t know how they would achieve their lifelong goal. As time goes on one will educate themselves, learning the necessary aspects and skills of their soon to be profession. During this time in one’s life they probably never gave much thought to what type of learning style they most familiarized with. What exactly does it mean to learn? By definition, “It is the act or process of gaining knowledge or skill by studying, practicing, being taught, or experiencing something” (Merriam-Webster.com, 2014). In order to evaluate one’s learning style there are assessments that can be taken and several models to compare to for analysis. One assessment in particular is called VARK: a guide to learning styles and it can be used to assess an individual’s learning style. “VARK, which is used for learning information, is a four modality acronym that stands for the Visual, Aural, Read/Write, and Kinesthetic” (Fleming, 2014).     Learning Styles Yissendy Trinidad GEN 105 February 19, 2012 Teresa Sidwell Learning Styles Each student has a chosen learning style and most students have modules of several styles they normally use to integrate new information. My Personality spectrum profile surprise me because I have learned there are eight intelligence ways of learning are Visual, Verbal-linguistic, Bodily-kinesthetic, Logical-mathematical, Musical, Interpersonal, Intrapersonal and Naturalistic. Also I learned about four each personality spectrum dimension are Thinker, Organizer, Giver and Adventure.
