Paragraph 1
My field of study is Medical Transcription. I would like to work in a hospital or from my home. The position would be very busy all the time, working with doctors, physicians, nurses, and it can even be busy from my home. The one hospital that I would like to work at is Wyandotte Hospital. It is a wonderful hospital, very respected, caring, and well known. From my home I can work around my schedule and I don’t have someone watching every move I make. The experiences that I have had that inspired me to pursue Medical Transcription was that I have been so curious all the time about new diagnoses, new medications, new technologies, and new treatment options. Also the medical field is a great career to get into. It’s always going to be around and you know that your part of helping someone’s life. With the Medical transcription I am learning new every day.

Paragraph 2
You will be great at Wyandotte Business School, as Kelly’s assistant, even though your previous experiences are working as a cashier and sales clerk, You have experience with them jobs, that means that you have some skills that are required for this job. You have experience working with the public. You have to know how to treat them and work with them. Treat the people at Wyandotte Business School just like you did at your other jobs. You also have experience with paperwork. You know how to file and do paperwork, its not going to be much different doing that at this job than it was at the other job. Between those two skills you will be great for this time of job. When you first start a job you’re not going to know everything. There is some people that start a job that have no experience or skills, at least you have some experience and skills. Don’t doubt yourself, you will do great. There will be on the job training, so if you don’t understand something then whoever trains you will teach it to you. You are friendly, outgoing, and like to stay busy, you will work great with Kelly. I hope

There are many aspects of health care that intrigue me. I’ve always wanted to be a nurse; unfortunately it is very difficult to get into the program. However, if I ever go back to do that, I would want to either do labor and delivery or pediatrics. I have had the privilege of witnessing the birth of one of my nieces and it was the most amazing experience. To be a nurse and being a part of that on a daily basis would be awesome. I also have an extra soft spot for children, which is why pediatrics would also be of interest to me. Life threatening diseases do not only affect adults. I feel that being able to help children would only be helping our future.…

My personal nursing mission statement is changing and developing as my career advances, however, one core piece will remain constant. I will strive to provide the best, safest, most ethical and compassionate nursing care that I can for all patients and family members with whom I come in contact. I began my post-high school academic career as an accounting major. I enjoyed the challenge of manipulating a report until I had balanced. I thought I had found my calling. As my first semester was nearing an end, I found myself contemplating the thought of sitting behind a desk all day. I wondered if I would find fulfillment in this work as a career? The more I pondered this thought, the more I realized that this was not the right career path for me. I saw images of the medical assistant program in the catalog at the school where I was attending. I could not shake the thought of the medical field for a profession. I attained my medical assistant degree and worked in the field for 10 years. The longer I worked, the more I realized that there was more that I wanted to do, but my current degree restricted me from going further. I researched nursing school programs and selected one with a night/weekend program that would allow me to continue working full-time during my studies. I have a family that I needed to continue to provide for and this seemed to be the best fit. My nursing school decision was fortified when I was selected for an award by the nursing faculty from all four semesters for excellence in the clinical setting. After graduation, I began my nursing career working as a case manager for orthopedic worker’s compensation patients. During this time I gained critical knowledge of the importance of clear documentation, the ever-changing requirements of insurance companies and an extra measure of compassion for…

As a child growing up I think I always wanted to work in the medical field, seeing my mother as a LPN. I also have always had a natural interest in the medical field because I like to watch a lot of ER and hospital shows. At first I didn’t really know what health career I wanted to pursue. I just knew that I liked being in the healthcare class and learning about the different health science careers and what they do. I think a medical office administration assistant would be a very good career for me because I am very helpful and can always be counted on when people need me. This is not my only career choice, it’s just the first I want to pursue. One year after graduation I will hopefully have my medical assisting certificate or at least be working on getting it. Around my five year mark I want to try to get a degree from a nursing school and become licensed as a registered nurse. After that I will try to specialize in pediatrics, so I can be a pediatric nurse. In ten years, I want to get my nurse practitioners license, so that I could work directly with a pediatrician.…

I feel that with my knowledge and understanding of this course, I would be an excellent candidate for the position of Medical Coder at North Bay Medical Hospital. A year ago, my mother was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. She passed away the following year. As I went through her medical bills, I found numerous billing errors. I was understandably upset during this time. I contacted her doctor’s office and spoke with Betty. She was the most understanding and reliable person I had ever dealt with. After she resolved all of my issues, I thought “that’s the kind of work I want to do. I enrolled in Penn Foster and excelled in my Medical Billing and Coding course. I also feel that my mother would be very proud of me.…
