Pel Pele: The Great Soccer Player
China, Greece, Rome, and many places in Central America claim to have started the worldwide popular sport of soccer. But now more than 240 million people play soccer around the world. Having many people aware, there is always a debate on who is the greatest player of all time. Out of all of the players in the history of soccer, Pele is the greatest to have lived.
When it comes to goal scoring ability, Pelé is by far the best scorer in the history of soccer. Pele scored 1,282 goals in 1,363 games(“History”). Ronaldo de Lima scored 278 goals and Zidane scored 144 goals in 723 games. Pele averaged 1.5 goals per year. Ronaldo averaged around 8.9 goals per league/tournament he was in. And Zidane’s average was 0.56 per year. Scoring ability, is one of the greatest things you can do for your team.
