That stalls us for half an hour, and then we leave. The bus gets half way back home, and the chaperones realize something. They forgot one of the teachers and the group he was watching that day, so we drive back and call the teacher, turns out they somehow got a ride home right after we noticed them missing. The bus didn’t get home until around 10:00 that night. My mom was about to unleash on the teachers and deans for getting back so late. We were supposed to be back at 7:30 pm, she was there for two and a half hours waiting for us to get back, but then they explained what happened, and that didn’t help much. She just told me to get into the car and go home. I get a call right after I get home from Mike saying he took Schroeder’s wallet, and I was just like “Leave the kid alone, man, he already had a rough day”. That was the understatement of the year, he had the worst day of his life, but he wasn’t mad at us at all. Even after we told him about the Superman seat, he just blew it off and was in a good mood. He is the most resilient kid I ever met; he takes so much from those guys, but he still likes to hang out with them. I got to show some respect for…

This point of the night it was like 1:30 a.m. We drove for a little while before we got bored. We decided to brainstorm some ideas of stuff to do. We finally started heading out there at 3:00 a.m. On the way out there we passed a truck. The truck was very short, matte black, and had a circle light bar in between the headlights. None of us recognized the truck and we got a little nervous. We decided to ignore it and keep going. For the rest of the drive we talked about boys, problems, and then we started talking about scary stuff. When we got out there we were too scared to get out of the truck, so we turned around and started back into town. We got…

Usually, after their chores and homework were done, Kathy, 8, and her brother Jonathan, 15, along with their friend May, 11, and her cousin Adam, 13, all went to Joe’s Arcade, the local hangout of Leaport, North Carolina. Instead, they all decided to meet at the end of their dead end street, Farrow Avenue, and go for a walk through the woods. They were all bored since the arcade was too crowded and supper wasn’t ready yet. Their town was a small town, so there wasn’t any other places to go besides the woods. As I sat there, playing, the door suddenly banged open. My mom stood there anxiously with fear in her chocolaty eyes. I knew something tragic had occurred for she never came home early. She grabbed my forearms and pulled me up with a jolt and snatched a plastic bag from the corner and stuffed what little clothes and toys I had in it. My own brown eyes were filled with tears, but I didn’t let them fall. She dragged me along as she moved and on her way out, she shut the door with a thunderous bang. Who would have thought that that was the last day I would ever see that little one room garage house again.…
