My childhood was associated with fold games. Blind man’s buff, cat and mouse game, dragon snake, hide and seek, marbles were games I usually played after school with kids in my neighborhood. The world in my mind was little things that were the interaction between the kids. Those kids and I usually gathered in one place and began to find something new to play. Hanging out with them and finding some place that allows us playing video game every afternoon is my favorite time. I not usually stay home to do my housework. Those were what I do not like. However, my older brother was the one who taught me about computer games. I still remember the first game I saw him playing on my dad’s computer. It was complicated and looked professional when he was playing game. I stood next to him over hour to look at how he played. I tried to memorize how he controlled the game by keyboards and mouse. A few days later, I turned on the computer and played the game by myself. I was immersed in the game world and forgot everything about my friends waiting for me in the place we usually gathered. Not only that, I invited them to my house and showed them how good I am when playing the amazing game. In the next few days, my mind was crazy because of thinking the character and environment in the game. I dreamed of it every night and

Video games seem to be an essential part around my friends’ circle. Unfortunately, I have never been one of them, but since my brother is a huge fan of video games, I can say I grew up around a video games’ world. As I remember, my brother played video games in every minute and second. I believe you must wonder why I could insist not to play. The truth is I was too afraid to be addicted to those games. I knew I was like my brother. I have seen all the consequences being addicted to video games bring. So I never played the same games several times and this is how I controlled myself. Video games are a relatively new form of entertainment; the first video game is considered to be Tennis for Two (1958), around fifty years ago, while film has been around for over one-hundred years, the printing press for over five-hundred, and storytelling for thousands of years before that. Because of its newness, video games are a developing medium, their conventions and potential have not been explored as fully in comparison with film and literature. I’ve played plenty of childhood games growing up as a kid. Every weekend I would go to my cousin’s house for fun times. During the night, every kid in the park, Oak Dale Park, would meet up by the pond that was located in the middle of the park. Me and my friends would team up and play tag or hide and seek. As a result of the stigmatization video games have received, many people view them as nothing more than entertainment at best and harmful to a child’s development at worst, neither side realizing the hidden assets of video games in relation to learning. For the terms of this argument, video games will be defined as any electronic or computerized game played via a game console, computer or hand-held device. It is unfortunate that the benefits of these games are not largely recognized, especially within the public school system, as the methods used in teaching today’s youth are outdated and are becoming less effective, creating the need for a different methodology. The purpose of this research is to show that although there have been claims of negative repercussions linked to video game play, there is little evidence to support such claims, and that the use of video games can actually help to create the optimum learning environment for children. Integration of game-based teaching into schools could provide a multitude of positive results including an increase in enthusiasm towards learning, greater memory retention and heightened cognitive skills. It is crucial that the school system starts to recognize the numerous benefits which can be obtained from video games; with proper use and approach, electronic gaming is the key to ensuring the children of today will be successful in the modernized world of tomorrow.…

In the first section of his speech, Jobs talks about connecting the dots, but he is not talking about coloring book dots, he is talking about the dots of life. As I grew older, my life experience gradually became more diverse. In many situations I had no idea how to act properly, what decisions to make, which path to follow; naturally, I made mistakes.
