Part Time Indian Book Report
In the book, “ The Absolutely True Diary of a Part- Time Indian, A kid named Junior, tells us his life story. He starts off in his reservation. Later in the book He finds courage and transfers schools to Reardan. Reardan is a school that is located outside of the rez, with all whites. Even though there are some disadvantages about going to a school with people that are a different race, He had some good outcomes. He went to get a better education. Not only did He get a better education, but He had an opportunity to do sports. Junior succeeded in that department tremendously.
In the movie “ Mcfarland “, Other characters also succeeded in life. “ Mcfarland “ Is about a white family, that moves into a Hispanic area. Jim white, the father/coach, saw potential in some of the boys in his gym class. He then later in the movie, encouraged them to do cross country. There were some ups and downs during the process of it, but due to the opportunity the boys took, the outcome after it all was great.
For the authors, Alexie and Caro’s Commentary about the value Opportunity is that Junior and The team mates can both relate to each other because they all had opportunities to do something …show more content…

In this quote, it shows how junior win something, but also lose something in that situation.
