The time when Robert Cruz got promoted from Quality Control Supervisor to Shop Manager of ABS Steel Company.

How to change poor working habits of the Supervisors, Leadmen and workers of ABC Steel Company?
II. STATEMENT OF THE OBJECTIVE
Identify actions to be taken in changing poor working habits of the Supervisors, Leadmen and workers of ABC Steel Company.

ABC Company was one of the country’s largest producers of fabricated steel products.
Producer of top quality steel
Hired Employees are skilled workers that maintain the quality of the products
Promotion is attainable
Worldwide market for steel

WEAKNESSES
THREATS
There was an ineffective system of production control.
Labor and material estimates had been inaccurate.
Shifts in manpower requirements were not anticipated.
ABC Steel Company was plagued by an ever-increasing production backlog.
There were no consistent “follow-up” policies.
Unrealistic targets and poor machine scheduling.
There was a shortage of skilled manpower.
There were serious “discipline” problems in the shop.
Fraternization is rampant in the company. Some of the workers were untouchable because they are barangay officials.
Workers were often tardy.
Possible bankruptcy within 5 months.
Previous management being too lax in with its workers.
