PTSD In The Odyssey
We all have experienced terrible nightmares once in awhile or maybe all the time. There are two types of nightmares, the ones that actually happened in real life or the ones that our minds make up. The real life nightmares or memories that become increasingly worse and often can affect individuals. There is a mental health problem called PTSD. PTSD usually begins after a traumatic event that had occurred. The ones who have fought in wars usually get PTSD. The article, Stress on Troops Adds to U.S. Hurdles in Iraq by Benedict Carey, explains how PTSD is a struggle that the troops have to go through but some are not getting proper treatment for it.
