Type of Business
Matalan started off as a local business in Preston, it then became national by founding stores across England, Scotland and Wales. It then grew to become an international profit organisation by establishing stores in Saudi Arabia and Jordan. An example of a global organisation is New Look. Suppliers The suppliers of the business would want that the products they have want to sell to the business is being bought at a profitable rate.
The suppliers would also want that they are being treated fairly by the business when making transactions.
They would also want that they are getting regular orders from Matalan. Matalan would treat the suppliers fairly when trading with them, and they would do this by negotiaiting with the suppliers on buying the product for reasonable prices.
Matalan would regulalry order from the suppliers due to the cheap goods that they may be selling.
Local community Local communities would want to live in an peaceful quiet enviroment where there is no rubbish or any type of disruption.
They would be seeking for any type of employment which is avaliable in store. The company would minimise any noise or pollution which has been caused by production of the goods or services which are sold in Matalan stores.
The company would have to keep avaliable a number of employment opportunities, so that the local community can join the Matalan …show more content…
As well as this staff turnover could also take place if they are not happy with the business and this means that the staff would leave the company and they would have to be repalced with other employees. Even though it may seem a bad thing that employees have left the business due to retirement or they have moved away it can also be seen as a good thing.
