Communication
Communication is the activity of passing information through the exchange of thoughts, messages, or information, as by speech, visuals, signals, writing, or behaviour. There are four different types of communication: * Verbal Communication eg phone conversations, meetings, chats. * Non-Verbal Communication eg gestures, signs, facial expressions. * Visual Communication eg drawing, artwork, cartoons, graphs. * Written communication eg memos, notes, letters, books.
Within these four categories, there are further sub classifications. Due to development in technology peoples social patterns have had effects on everyday communication, making it easier for them who have difficulty with speech or none at all. Due to this, it has resulted in the development of systems such as, * Makaton * BLISS boards * Interpreters and advocates

After a few lessons on communication we watched a short film called ‘The Language of Power’ which focuses specifically on body language. These are the notes I made: * Jaw butting shows anger * Back turned to others makes them feel unwanted and awkward * When anxious mouth dries up, which leads to licking lips * Rubbing neck to self comfort * Sticking out tongue makes it more obvious * Crowns and Jewels shows off, and that the Queen is higher than everyone *
